hi every one , i have a simple question , when the embassy needs form ds-156 and ds-157 and other documents(copy of passport, photos) , do i have to submit these documents or only my husband (benificiary) has to submit them? or both of us must send them?

any body can help...

the DS forms are visa applications forms... A USC spouse does not need to apply for a visa....

The USC will provide additional relationship evidence that they might possess and financial support ability evidence

YMMV

All the embassy docs are submitted by benificiary in the case of a K-Visa, the US Citizen petitioner only provides an I-134.

What forms should be send back to the Consulate?

bring all forms with you to the interview

Then you are adjusting status, what are you adjusting status from?? K-Visa?

DS forms are only used at a US consulate in a foreign country, NOT in the USA.

Moving to AOS forum.

If AOS from K-Visa follow this guide: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1k3aos

If AOS from another visa type: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=i130guide2

i applied for my husband form 1-730 refugee asylee relative petition, i arrived to the uS few months ago (through the UN ) ..and my status now is refugee .. not a green card holder yet.
This is a strange topic, need to provide these details up front in your post, details like filing for a follow to join benifit for a refugee helps understand what is being asked about.

I am sorry I could not reply sooner. My husband didn't go through the embassy at all, but before he got approved for refugee I did have to send a DS-156 to NVC as well as two photos. I'm not sure why the embassy wants all these documents from you, but you case is a little different. I would recommend sending any documents they ask for. Hopefully all will go fine and your case will go smoothly.

For everyone else: She is not adjusting status. She is a refugee trying to bring her husband here. Her case would be bringing a family member to the US though at this time she is not a permanent resident until she is in the US for one year. The rules for her case are different than what you usually see for bringing spouses to the US.

Married: May 28th, 2007

Arrived in the US: December 10th, 2008
