Sylvia: I feel for you. I am about cried out now. Now I have to tighten up my boot straps and get down to business on the next steps to take. My husband's denial had nothing to do with fraud of any type, but with his mother refusing to answer questions. When I really think about it from the embassy's point of view, that can look like there was something to hide. I know the real reason as being that the embassy official did not identify herself so she didn't want to answer questions about her son without knowing. She called very upset asking me to invite the woman back because she felt she ruined our chances of being together. I didn't think it would be that big a deal since she did get a successful interview from my husband's brother, but apparently parents hold a lot of weight in determining the validity of a marriage. I am not sure how we will overcome this, but I will work to find a way.

2Hearts: I am willing to bet that his wife has no clue that he is about to hit her with the fact that he is wanting a divorce. I am also willing to bet that she doesn't know that he is conspiring behind her back.

I am thinking the same exact thing! I feel really bad for her.

Totally unreal !! I kinda figured this was going to happen. It appear to me that this lovely lady was used.

If your marriage fell apart in that short period of time it must have been an explosive issue that only can be remedied by divorce. But... if that is not the case..read below:

During our life journey one has to be ever so careful how you treat others. Remember galaxy_2008 what goes around come around.

HELLO,

i want to confirm the procedure of divorced while i am still on 2 yrs green card. can it affect my filling for 10 years green card. pls i will apperciate a comprehsive explanation,

Instead of asking if filing for a divorce affects your 10 year green card, you should be asking how you can most quickly return home. You did only come to America for marriage, right?!?!? Then if it did not work out then pack your #$%^& and leave !!!!!!! Sorry to be rude, but I have been there, done that in more than one way and it bothers me deeply when people like you display a heart of sincerity, and your true intentions are not what you displayed. You owe your wife, and everyone you come in contact with an apology for your wicked, evil ways.

BACKGROUND:

For those of you who may be wondering why I am trippin, here is why. Long story short, I have a close relative who entered into an international marriage (for the sake of no arguments I won't say which country). Her husband pulled an 'in and out' stunt so quicky and smooth, he deserves an Oscar! He completely pulled the wool over the eyes of our entire family. Because of this, for those of you who may remember previous postings, this is why I strongly defend other posters who wish to share their story's of being scammed. It may not be in your household, but it could be someone you know.

Galaxy 2008 - if you don't remember anything I say, remember this .... the seeds you plant today, will be your harvest for tomorrow! Shame on you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry:

If this is true, then an apology is in order, but in your original post, you did say "I want to confirm the procedure of divorced while I am still on 2 yrs green card." There was nothing mentioned about a brother, just the word "I" was used. Using "I" refers to one's self, not another person. By the way, you were not being judged by your word alone, but by actions that were observed in past months.

I have to agree with Boaz. Considering all the outrage you have echoed in the past about Nigerians getting a bad rap, this reply was waaaaayyyy too quiet. This reply reeks of guilt. You and many others like you are the reason Nigerians are getting a bad rap. You make it hard for the rest of us who have legitimate marriages.

I believe if you are married less that two years you are on a "two years green card status" Correct me if I'm wrong. So I think you have been married less than two years correct?? When I read your post you did not mention that you wanted information for your brother who was also in the US just like you. You could of gotten alot of your question answered by him regarding your Welcome packet document that you had posted recently. Wow! now you want to clarify that this post was not about you but posted to gather information on the impact of filing for divorce while on 2 years green card status for your brother. Oh yeah you wanted to make sure you got information that your brother could still get his 10 years green card. Hmmmmmm?<_<

Ok so as everyone knows I do not post very often but I feel I do need to post to this. I just would like to inform everyone that Galaxy and his WIFE are friends of mine and my husbands and for the attacks towards him I just want everyone to know that he is NOT who everyone is depicting him to be. His questioning is for the man whos wife had him moved from one homeless shelter to another then into her ex husbands house. So for those of you who do not know this man and just autmatically assume hes who you think he is NOT please just take a look at his previous posts as to how he speaks before judgement is cast upon him.

Also when ones speak of how he said "I" also remember the country they come from and if you know your significant others like I assume you all do they you will remember that alot of times they speak in that term when refering to there countryman. So I just please ask for this attack to stop on a man who is just here to help others who are going through this journey of immigration as all he wants to do is help. Thank you!! Mr & Mrs Anukem.......friends of Galaxy and his Wife!

Galaxy,

If you have such a wide base of individuals who are / have gone through the immigration process, why are you posting here rather than asking those who have already travelled this journey?

Sorry - but I am not easily blinded.

Its better to go into things with knowledge than blindley dont you think??? Last i checked this board was to help in advise on things and to have more than one person say this is soo. I'ts better to have multiple comments that are the same so your facts are better backed up. There have been many misleading statements all through visa journey so when one posts questions along this line its better to post it thru portals so u get multiple responses so that you have a better knowledge that what one thought was actually a FACT and not just hear say.

Boaz you make it sound as if one has completed the immigration taht they no longer need to be on this board but according to ur history u just did your adjustment of status so if that is what you are saying, then what are you doing here. Everyone has come acrossed something that wasnt correct when told to them on VJ and so Galaxy coming here to ask others opinions was just to be knowledgable in this for his fellow brother. Another thing is that people here are assuming that he hasn't asked outside of VJ when in fact there isnt one person in here that is a mind reader to know this. The saying knowledge is power ring a bell??? I honestly feel bad for those who have had there brain poisoned by society with there feelings towards Nigeria when the fact remains that all he wanted to do was help our a brother who was actaully in my personal opinion scammed by an AMERICAN WOMAN! There its now out that we to here have scammers who are just low life individuals with nothing better to do. Its a shame that some cant face the fact that all he really is doing is trying to help out a countryman.

I find it odd that there are many messages about getting a 10 year green in several threads other than sub Saharan many days before the "friend" that he is supposedly helping posts that he is having problems. I think it odd that someone was extremely interested in how to get a 10 year green card without going through the removing conditions process ( where they have to prove a valid relationship ) and why so long before his country mate announced he had gotten kicked out of the house if all this investigation was for the other man? With that type of ability to see the future he should start buying lottery tickets and not worry about his SSN and which green card he has. I get so sick of the type of man that assumes he can make up a cover story and woman are just dumb enough to buy into it.

I suppose you would be saying the same statement if it happend to be a friend of yours then I presume????? Sometimes individuals just like to "FEED" off of what they want to hear and ignore the facts so they can be classified as glorfied #### spreaders excuse my language.

THis of course would be why I dont like to respond to much in any area as there are way to many mudd slingers out there who think they know it all and they dont know JACK when it comes to a persons personal life other than what they want to read when the other individual posts. I can guarantee there are many cases all through VIsa Journey who are not telling everything. Its quite sad to be honest. Good luck to all of you who are going through immigration as it is incredibally difficult if you havent noticed. I can see this site is not really what was thought it to be for some and Im horribley sorry you have to be the bad egg to spoil it all. God bless everyone who is actually doing the right thing and not just jumping on this bann wagon to start fires!
