WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!! After waiting almost 7 months, I checked my email yesterday and received the long awaited email....I129F approved on 12/31/08. 2009 is looking better already :)

For those of you who have waited more than 6 months....I really encourage you to contact your state Senators. They have helped us the most and I truly believe that we would still be waiting if they had not intervened.

Good luck to all those who are still waiting...especially those who are waiting WAY TOO LONG! Do not give up...pull up those sleves and put on a fight.

We tried to email 2 senators. One said he couldn't do anything and we didn't hear from the other! How did you contact them? email, phone , letter?

Was it a state senator or US senator?

2/24/09: NA02 APPROVAL... finally, after 9 MONTHS & 8 DAYS!!

5/5/09 : Interview Date APPROVED!!!!

5/8/09: visa received

From NA01 to interview: 12 LONG MONTHS!!

07/23/09: received SSN

08/17/09: Passed Driving test

08/22/09: Married on beautiful Mackinac Island, MI

AOS

08/31/09: Mailed AOS Package

10/20/09: Received AP

10/21/09 Received EAD card

12/7/09 AOS APPROVED!

12/14/09: Green Card arrived in mail. Happy Days!

It's taken 18 months from applying for K1 to receipt of Green Card! Thank God it's over until 12/7/11

Here we go again...

10/14/11: Biometrics

7/2/12: Approved. New Card Ordered

We contacted the two US senators for the state of Tennessee. I sent letters and they both contacted me by phone. Lamar Alexander's office was the biggest help...mostly continued contact via email. Don't give up....keep bugging them! And Thanks!

Wot did you write in the letter? It obviously worked! Maybe we didn't say the correct thing!? maybe.

I'm not so sure it was the letter or the fact that I refused to take "Vermont says they are still processing files with March 7 dates" for an answer. You may want to try sending a letter to both of your Senators again and call them once they have had time to get them....I actually faxed the letters and was communicating with my Senator the next day. Eventually they will all get tired of the persistence and do something....hopefully anyway. Best of luck to ya!
