i also got the stamp the other day! just like LeaandBen (whose interview is alo in seattle), the card itself would be sent a little bit longer than usual because of the changes.

the very next day after my approval, we went to canada to celebrate! during our return to the us, the customs officer teased me, "they let you go to canada just because you're an lpr now? so now i have to let you back in?"

I have received everything so far. What is wrong with them??? cant they do anything right???

so i tried to call but of course i didnt have the date of when i first submitted my I485 to them because im at work so they wouldnt do anything! grrr

to everybody who received interview letters, card producation notices and the physical green card.

Sorry for my extra loooong absence, finished my CNA class, passed the state exam... but I was not accepted in the nursing program for this year, I still need to take all those anatomy and physiology classes in advance to raise up my points for qualification next year... but all is well, after the crying was the realization that I don't really want to be a nurse anyway and since I have already conditioned myself that I am going to take Anatomy and Physiology this year, I might as well do it as prerequisite course for Occupational Therapy which is what I really wanted to do in the first place. So I will be taking prereqs for Occupational Therapy concurrently with Therapeutic Massage (just got accepted in that program which is more of a medical massage)... I will have my hands full this coming fall but I am sooo excited.

Aside from it being sooo expensive ($785 total ), the medical went fine. Submitted it at the local USCIS last week and today got the online update: CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED July 1, 2009(finally my case can be found after 7months)... well, the update was only for my case but I have faith that the same applies to my 2 kids' applications also.

Based on the updates here, it seems the card production is on track now so, I am hoping to receive our cards within this week or next week.

I called them and they will send a request to get that mail again. Hopefully it won't delay anything! grrr

I certainly hope, they did not mess up anything and that you will receive your card soonest. (((HUGS)))

Received welcome letter today but only for me. I called the USCIS hotline, was told incoherent things by the call center agent, like my kids' cases are still pending and that they are still waiting for reply to RFE and that it is still within the processing time since Raleigh office is still working on cases from September, blah blah blah. Hayy, why did I even bother calling. I just hope we would receive their welcome letter soon and that we would receive the physical green card soon also.

LeaAndBen: How is it going in your end? I hope you've heard positive update on your case.

salamat (thank you) for all the well wishes. ... felb, i don't even know if I am truly heading for educational progress.. from bachelor's degree to master's in the Philippines-- to what i will be doing in the next 2 years... it looks and (sometimes) feels like a regression actually. I'll just have to keep my eyes on what the end result would be and where I'd hopefully be in 4 to 5 years time.
