Thank you dbears for the support and encouragement.

As of this time, am still waiting...and waiting...for any news from USCIS. I check my mailbox everyday for any letter but..nothing.

My hope is slowly fading away...

Please don't lose hope, you have gone a long ways. It may not be as fast as your K1 visa approval but it will surely come.

"Never let go of hope. One day you will see that it all has finally come together. What you have always wished for has finally come to be. You will look back and laugh at what has passed and you will ask yourself... 'How did I get through all of that?"

God be your constant refuge and strength. (((HUGS)))

Well, I had my interview this morning and am approved.

It went very smoothly. We were shown into the office (after waiting a half hour) and then our interviewer said 'wait here' and left us. He returned shortly afterwards with a distant relative of Alex's! Alex has a fairly unusual last name and the interviewer had seen it, recognised it as being the last name of someone who worked there and had told this man about it who asked to see us. So we spent ten minutes chatting about family connections (he had known Alex's grandfather) before even having to take the oath!

After that we were much more relaxed. The interviewer didn't ask to see much and he didn't ask many questions. He asked to see our passports, our joint bank statement/bank cards, and the wedding photos. He didn't even ask for our birth certificates or EAD or AP. The fact that I never completed the HPV vaccination course wasn't a problem, either.

He did ask:

How we met

How we'd felt when we'd first met each other

Who a couple were in one of the wedding photos

Whether any of my family members attended the wedding

Our photos weren't in an album or professionally taken, and he didn't mind that we only had a joint bank statement as proof of our relationship; he understood that we were young and don't have much evidence. He did seem to really like that we'd had a lot of guests at our wedding and had married well within the 90 days.

I'm really glad to be done for 2 years and to not have a RFE for the medical examination!

Good luck for next week, dbears!

Congratulations!!

Question... I don't know when I will receive my GC (hopefully soon..). But do you think I will have problems if I travel with the stamp n my passport??

How long does it take to get the GC anyway? I had my interview two weeks ago..

thank God our interview was over and i was approved! yesterday we me and hubby went to the SD uscis office and it took us like 10 min til IO called us, it was a great time of interview! IO was very nice and even jokes around. the time we sat down infront of him, he explained to us the process of removal of condition and application for naturalization. hahaha!. he talks alot and we all had a great time i think. him and my hubby talked about how the SD Padres suck this season. so yeah, he asked us how we met, asked for some proofs of marriage so we showed him the marriage cert, both of our birth cert., our joint docs ( we only gave him car insurance, leasing contract and joint ITR 2008) it all went well, he asked if we have a joint bank account we said not yet but i told him i already opened a bank account at bank of america under my married name, so he took the card and photo copied it. we brought our wedding album and it was huge! he was making fun of it saying he doesnt need to go the gym anymore for that.LOL so yeah, he typed info on his pc and even turned his flat screen monitor to us and showed us what he was typing..through that i was in knowledge now that my status is CF1, meaning a K1 entry now in the status of a conditional permanent residency. i was able to check if my name was properly spelled right on the very uscis system. it was all good! he stamped APPROVED in my file and explained the process of removal of condition, which is, 90 days before our 2yr expiration, starting from the 5-15-09 (our approval aos date), told me that GC will arrive in 2-3 wks. and also to apply for the naturalization a yr after i receive the removal of condition approval which is the 10 yr GC. he took my ead card, stamped and sealed my passport, he said that is what i can show to some employers if i dont have the green card yet. we even had a spare time talking about the PADRES really. LOL! after that we went straight to PETCO PARK to watch Padres vs. Reds. and infact this time, Padres won!! wow!

Thank u for all the people who have helped me and most of all to God for this awesome plans he has for me.

Congrats shes. I am very very happy for you. Your GC should be in the mail before two weeks; now don't forget to remove the restrictions from your social security card. Again, CONGRATS

tnx dear! sori for a very late reply..yeah, after i get the GC, il return to ssa and dmv. now time to focus on working..

Rajemr, I feel so sorry for you and your situation :( I think only you can decide if you want to stay with your husband or move forward without him. If you choose the second option then you need to decide if you want to go home or still stay in this country. If you do want to stay, the only way to do it is to wait for the green card and only then start the divorcing process (you will be able to remove the conditions without your husband I beleive but it will be a little more difficult).

I don't think that your husband cancelled the case. If it has been more than 60 days after USCIS got your reply to RFE, you can call them and make an inquiry or arrange an infopass appointment. Don't wait anymore, it's the time to take some actions!

I wish you the best of luck and do hope that everything will work out well for you!

 That's the first time I've ever heard about that! I don't think it's true since I know at least several people who have been getting their cards lately. I got my Welcome letter today (a week after the interview) which states that I will be getting the card within the next 3 weeks. They normally give the longest time, so I hope to get it a little earlier
