Domincan1020 it was the same for me. I came the US in 2005 and got married in 2007 but didn't file until Jan 2009. Seriously, my husband's sickness took priority over my petition. I was more concerned about his life than my status here or being banned if anything happened and I had to return home. Up to December of last year we didn't know if he would make it and in January we began the process not even knowing if he would live but had faith that God would come through and he did.

kcoyclay1 I am sorry you had to go throught this; however we cant question the almighty but to have faith and believe everything will be ok. And now i hope you and your husband will see the light.

If i had to change things i would not change anything. Everything happens for a reason, and i am happy we took time to put in my paper work. It all worked out the way it is suppose to.

THANKS I-MIGRATE!! GOOD LUCK TO U!

You better believe it Dominican1020. Our delay rewarded us with 10years permanent residency. No removal of Conditions  . This process (the wait) was nerve-racking enough.

hi everyone,

It's been a while since i checked in again. anyway, I just want u guys to know our interview went well. It was done here in Los Angeles. The lady who interviewed us was very pleasant ( she's from Nigeria), just went through the forms that we submitted.I actually forgot i have to submit 2 photos but she send me down to 3rd floor to have my pics taken.. Our interview went well... actually it lasted ..hmmm.. 30 mins. That is for my husband and step daugther. She copied some of my pics . then congratulated my husband and stepdaughter. I can't believe this is all over. I still cannot believe how patient i am ( and all of us who are on the same boat!) t go through this. I would like to thank everybody who provided some prayers, support, for all the cheers, and for the company on this long journey. Hopefully, you guys will get your interview appt and eventually c

We also had our interview today. It went about the same as others have reported. The officer asked a few questions regarding when we got married and looked at a photo of my wife with my family. I brought a copy of the life insurance policy I bought for my wife. And we showed him our Kaiser health insurance cards. The whole thing was over in 15 minutes.

Good luck to everyone still waiting for their interview.

We also had our interview yesterday and we were approved!!!:dance::dance: The IO was a very nice young american woman, she was smiling and joking a lot, so the whole interview was more like a friendly conversation. We talked about our wedding, showed her our huge photo album, which she was looking through with interest, asking questions about people on the pictures. Then she asked us about our honeymoon trip, we told her about trip to Vegas, showed her another photo album... She told us some funny things about her own wedding, then we talked about our plans for the future, when we are going to have children, and stuff like that... The only documents she asked was to show the original of my birth certificate and our marriage certificate. She DIDN'T ask a single question about any financial or joint documents, even though we had the whole folder with joint bills, insurances, etc.) The only nervous moment was when she looked at form 693 that we had sent together with other papers and said that it was strange why the doctor had filled out only the vaccination section and left blank the medical exam part... I started to explain to her that since I had enrered the country with fiancee visa, I didn't need another medical exam as long as my medical from Moscow that I got before K-1 interview was not older that a year (this medical with all required tests was also in the case on her table). They have this infomation on USCIS site. But the IO was still doubting and went to ask her supervisor. Came back in several minutes and apologized that she hadn't realized that for fiancee visa the new medical exam was not required. Thanks God! Then she gave us the paper saying that I had been granted the conditional permanent resident status and explained about the removal of conditions. She said that I would get my card within 30 days. Me and my hubby are so happy and now are looking forward to get the GC in the mail! :star:

Congrats JulianDavid and janessnroland on the milestones.

We, ourselves, received notices for I-130 and I-485 approval. It says "WELCOME TO UNITED STATES of AMERICA".

Awaiting physical card....

That card comes soon after the welcome notice. You should be getting an email stating approval notice sent and that is the letter with the card. Sometmes the card comes without being touched so congrats.
