It's been quite a while that i haven't logged in to visa journey,and I'm glad to see all the progress of the AOS applications for the January filers!

Congrats to all who got their,AP,EAD and to our first AOS approval( Steve&Tiff)! It's nice to hear all of such good news about everyone's AOS!

And to add to the good news, we got my AP approval notice last week. And according to USCIS website, my EAD approval notice is up on its way to our mailbox since March 25! Hopefully we will receive it soon! I'm so getting bored of staying home all the time, it's about time to get some work and earn some bucks haha! CONGRATS again to y'all!

Congrats on the AP and the EAD!!! muuli ka? dalai ko durian if your planning to go home to davao ha. Miss yah!.

Thank You Gay! Although initial purpose for applying AP has already forgone (my sis wedding was last week on March 21,got my AP on the same day March 21,a"lil" too late! ) But at least I tried. Sometimes things just dont happen the way we want it. Kamo, nus-a inyo plan mouli pohon?

We're from Tagum, Davao del Norte... I also saw some durian in the asian store near here but it was soooo expensive and It don't have the distinct durian smell (though it's still has shell). I doubt if it will taste the same as our durian in Davao.

Wow, it's already difficult to track all the good news from January filers! Congratulations to everybody and good luck to those who are still waiting!

Dbears, BIG CONGRATS on your interview date! I'am sure that you will get your EAD card tomorrow or on Monday!

We went to SSA office today to change the last name on my SSN card (I already got one for my maiden name before we got married). They said it would take up to 4 weeks to get the new card since they need to verify the information with USCIS. I think it's weird since when I got my SSN first time, it took them only a week to mail it to me. And now it will be the same number but with different last name, I don't know why it takes them so much longer...

I think thru this whole thing, I became more emotional than Tiff herself. I never should have waited all these years to marry her. I keep thinking, if I married her years ago, she'd be a citizen by now, and all her brothers and sisters would have a petition filed for them too.

Regarding my case there's no update with my EAD since Jan30 and i still cant view my I-485 status so Im a bit worried. My husband is also waiting for me to get my SSN so he can claim me on his tax return.

I'm a late January Filer...can anyone tell me the significance of having your case transfered to CSC?

It is supposed to mean the case will be processed faster and be approved without interview most of the time.

zoharulz: I am glad they were able to fix the EAD. I hope you will get good response for the AP.

cwaf: Congrats on your daughter's AP, i am sure your wife's will follow soon.

kcoyclay: Congrats on getting the physical EAD and hope you will get your SSA card soonest.

Thanks Kcoyclay1! I called USCIS last Thursday and told me the famous "wait 3-4 weeks" before you will receive your EAD card.

Hey guys, I heard that you should wait till your status is good and ready in the USCIS computer system before you go to the SSA to get a SS#. Because the SSA taps into the USCIS database for their info. And if they don't see it, they have to manually verify it. And that could takes many more weeks. So I am waiting a couple of weeks to go there with Tiff.

Received the physical EAD card in the mail today but only for me and my daughter, my son's card is missing . This is the first time a mail from USCIS did not arrive in 3s for us. I sure hope there is no problem with my son's card and that we would get it in the mail on Monday.

Amy&Xin: I hope somebody could answer your question. We did not apply for AP so I don't know. But I am glad that you received it already.

SteveAndTiff: CONGRATS on the "welcome letter", it sure makes it official. I hope the physical permanent residency card comes in the mail soon. ....Things happen for a reason, maybe it was just not the right time yet, maybe if you got married earlier, you probably won't have an easy AOS journey. It's all maybe, we will never know for sure but the past is over and done with, the important thing is you are now married, Tiff will officially have her permanent residency card and in 3 years time, she could apply for citizenship.. and the most important thing would be for you to continue loving and cherishing each other for the rest of your lives. Be happy together and CONGRATS again.

I Can only agree with dBears! There's the right time for everything, I think. We may have our preferred own timeline, but sometimes it just won't happen the way we want it... like dbears has mentioned, everything happens for a reason- a significant reason we may just know and realize why at some point in time. One thing for Sure though, you are blessed with each other all the time!!!

Congrats dbears on getting your EAD card. I went straight to the SS office and applied for my number. They gave me a letter and also told me that I will receive the SS# in about 10 to 14 days. I truly hope that everything will work smoothly for you. You have been a great support and cheerleader to all of us as we waited.
