Just Curious. Why do you need AP if you have an interview on April,03 2009 ??

Even if you have had it you would be giving it back to IO during the interview anyway.

Does it make sense ?

STILL CAN'T SEE ON-LINE STATUS FOR AOS & EAD !.....

NOTE : I DID NOT APPLY FOR I-131 (AP).

dbears and all Jan filers I just received my EAD card in the mail . Social Security office is across the street from my house so i am running over there right now as I want to file jointly with my husband before April 15. Hope all you guys will get yours soon.

And to all who got their EAD and AP congrats! Hopefully more approval to come.

Regarding my case there's no update with my EAD since Jan30 and i still cant view my I-485 status so Im a bit worried. My husband is also waiting for me to get my SSN so he can claim me on his tax return.

kcoyclay1, Congrats for finally getting ur physical EAD. We have a similar timeline so im hoping that my EAD will just show up in our mailbox.

I know of someone else who will probably have their interview before they receive their cards in the mail. The AP is not necessary at all, and only allows travel before the greencard is issued. Some people do not have a need for the AP card, but since the costs for AOS now includes EAD and AP, they file for it anyway. Previously, you had to file and pay for each form separately, so now they get their money even from the ones who do not need AP.

I'm a late January Filer...can anyone tell me the significance of having your case transfered to CSC?

It is supposed to mean the case will be processed faster and be approved without interview most of the time.

zoharulz: I am glad they were able to fix the EAD. I hope you will get good response for the AP.

cwaf: Congrats on your daughter's AP, i am sure your wife's will follow soon.

Still no physical EAD card .. BUT, we received the interview letter for May 26th, 8AM. .. I am still hopeful we will get the EAD card in a few days.

It's been quite a while that i haven't logged in to this thread,and as I took a peep into it again I'm glad to see all the progress of the AOS applications for the January filers!

Congrats to all who got their,AP,EAD and to our first AOS approval( Steve&Tiff)! It's nice to hear all of such good news about everyone's AOS!

And to add to the good news, we got my AP approval notice last week. And according to USCIS website, my EAD approval notice is up on its way to our mailbox since March 25! Hopefully we will receive it soon! I'm so getting bored of staying home all the time, it's about time to get some work and earn some bucks haha! CONGRATS again to y'all!

Congrats to all who got their,AP,EAD and to our first AOS approval( Steve&Tiff)! It's nice to hear all of such good news about everyone's AOS!

And to add to the good news, we got my AP approval notice last week. And according to USCIS website, my EAD approval notice is up on its way to our mailbox since March 25! Hopefully we will receive it soon! I'm so getting bored of staying home all the time, it's about time to get some work and earn some bucks haha! CONGRATS again to y'all!

Hey guys, I heard that you should wait till your status is good and ready in the USCIS computer system before you go to the SSA to get a SS#. Because the SSA taps into the USCIS database for their info. And if they don't see it, they have to manually verify it. And that could takes many more weeks. So I am waiting a couple of weeks to go there with Tiff.
