Hi Happy! Where are you from in Ukraine? My new family is from Kherson.

I wonder why you cannot track your case online...hmmmm

Our cases have not been updated online for AOS even though we have had the intial RFE, the biometrics, and now the transfer to CSC. I wonder if there is a way to call about the AP's, too.

nice to have you in the boat!

Hello Cwaf! :) I am from Odessa ;-) Also I am planning to visit my home city in April using AP. Hopefully I will not have any trouble comming back ;-)

I cannot check my case status online including AP and EAD. I called the custom cervice in Feb and they told me that everything is fine and they can see my cases in their system. They told me that some people cannot see their cases status online and that I shouldn't worry about it.

When my case was tranferred to Cali, I decided to call them to ask some questions, in addition I asked them to look at my EAD status, and a woman told me it was ordered on March 17th. Also I asked her about 15 days premium processing clock (what I read in the end of the letter), she told me it is the time when they decide if we have an interview and they send the package to the local office or they decide that we will not have an interview.

Since I cannot check my status, I am going to call them at least once a month :devil::devil:

dbears, thanks for keeping us updated! ;-)

I hope we get our APs soon enough that I can make travel plans in advance! I was unaware that we could possibly still have an interview. Thanks for the info! Nothing wrong with giving them a little push from time to time. hahaha :)

Work authorization cards ordered as of today--CRIS email notifications. I checked our case status online and both I765's are updated accordingly.

come on AP cards!

i feel like our case might be right next to each other. :)

I wish! you already have your AP!:thumbs:

Hey, guys, just got an email from CRIS telling me that ead card production was ordered.

Congrats! Hopefully I will have mine too. I am waiting to be notified about my EAD this week.

I had checked our status online this morning and there were no changes. Then, BOOM! I received the two emails a few minutes ago, checked online status again and they had updated them. I am sure yours will be coming soon!

Oh wow! Thanks! Congratulations!!!

Congratulations everyone for receiving AP or EAD! For my case online it haven't updated since Jan 30th and I've not receive anything at all. It's abit frustrating esp. my grandma health's is getting worse and I'm thinking to go back to be there for her asap. She has diabetes which affected her feet and she has to be on the wheelchair and it seems like it is going somewhere else now. I just hope my AP will be arrived soon. Please pray for us and I hope all of u guys have a great day and good luck with your journey.

Cheers,

Glo

I am sorry about your grandmother. I read someplace about getting an emergency AP for urgent cases, so it may be something that you can look into. However, your case seems like it should be fairly well along and about the same timeline as mine. It still would not hurt to call customer service and ask if they can tell you anything. good luck, and our prayers are with you and your family.

Cwaf,

Thanks for your advice, I actually have an interview on April 14th but I'm thinking to delay the interview date if I can get my AP on hand. That way I can go back to HK to see my grandma first. For me nothing is more important than my family and I just wanna be there for her asap. I've been sick for couple days just to think about that. Hopefully everything is gonna work out soon and thank you so much for keeping us in your prayer.

Still no news for me. Our cases online have never been updated since they got accepted. It never stated the RFE's etc... So I guess if we receive something in the mail, I will be so excited that I will cry!! I just hope nothing is going wrong coz there would be no way to know about it.

Well just thought I would post this to start us all off in the new year for those that will be filing for AOS in January! We are working on our package right now and hope to have it mailed out next week! Good luck to all!

Steph n' Gareth

Hello Everyone, First I want to say THANK YOU ! For all your well wishes and prayers. Those on this topic, and in Pvt Msg.

Secondly, Tiff is Approved for her green card :)

This is our experience:

We arrived 1:45 PM for a 2 PM interview. You get scanned thru security and directed to a window like DMV. The lady took Tiff's appointment letter. Then you wait, we waited about a half hr, then they called about 10 people's names, and asked if anyone needed a translator. Then we all went upstairs. Then we waited another half hr or so. Finally an interview officer called us, and we introduced eachother. She was not unpleasant, but not the most friendly. Quite professional.

During the interview, she asked us for ID. Then she actually asked me more questions than she did Tiff. It started with my pedigree, then how we met. Where we met, what I do, have I ever been married, I am 15 yrs Tiff's senior, so there was a question directed at Tiff about how old I was when we met (To which Tiff answered wrong).

Tiff's questions were quite simple, when did you come to the USA, did you ever leave, why the long overstay (To which I answered because she met me, and didn't want to leave, and I procrastinated about marriage, I blamed myself). She asked Tiff where and if she worked, is she working now. Has she ever been locked up, smuggled drugs, etc.

Finally, she briefed through our financial documents, esp joint financial ties. She looked at our pictures and took about 5 of them. In the end, I would say 75% of the questions were directed at me.

Then she said "Congratulations, You are approved. I will have your passport stamped right now"

Then we went back downstairs and waited for maybe 10 minutes, they called Tiff's name, handed her passport back with a 551 stamp in it. She explained that the 551 stamp is like a temp greencard, she is free to travel in and out of the country. We will receive the greencard shortly.

In the end, my immigration lawyer-friend was right. When I went to him for help, he said "Steve, you can fill those forms out much better than me, and my staff. Because you won't make any mistakes, and you will pay more attention to detail"

In the past few months, you have become a part of our extended family. On behalf of Tiff, myself, and our family. thanks again for all your support, guidance, and well wishes. We will not leave you, we will be here for you in Visa J. We love you. And good luck to all of you.

Steve and Tiff.
