hilkka, thanks a lot for the exlanation...the updated dates haven't changed since they received the application so I guess this means two things: either the system doesn't work in my case or they really haven't looked at my applications since then

anyway, I guess I'll just wait and see

Congratulations to everyone who got their EAD approvals.

We also filed in January and then were transferred to CSC. I have a question: I still couldn't figure out how to check if my application was checked/touched, etc on the USCIS website. Can anybody tell me exactly where I should look cause I'm confused.

Basically what someone means when they say their case was touched was that in their portfolio (where it tracks their applications on the uscis website) that the last updated date has changed. Theoretically it is supposed to change every time someone looks at your case or does something with it...however it doesn't always work that way. Does that make things a little easier to understand?

My understanding was that one receives it in 10 days or so, but somebody told me, now it takes more than 6-8 weeks. I hope I hear about my EAD/AP without RFE's

When we applied for my daughters SSN (shes a citizen) they told us the average for a brand new number was two weeks but it could take up to eight. We got her's in eight days so it just depends. My guess would be to plan on two weeks but it could take longer if they have some kind of issue. I understand the feeling about not hearing anything...my AOS finally came online but nothing about the EAD. Hopefully this week will bring good news for us all!!

OMG, OMG, in addition to having received an email approval for my AP, I also had the interview notice waiting in our mailbox today. My interview date is April 22nd. Woohoo.

Rachel: I hope everything will be ok with your 2nd biometrics and that you would receive your EAD soon. I believe JulianDavid had some red notice flashing on screen when they had biometrics but everything turned out fine and she had her AP & EAD soon after. I hope the same will be true with your case.

i-migrate: Congrats on getting the physical EAD card. That's way to go!!!

saspak & tea1: I was able to trace all our EAD's after card production was ordered but I still can't trace my AOS and my son's AOS online. My daughter's AOS still says they have sent RFE and that case processing was put on hold but I have already received the letter saying they had resumed processing on her case and that they have cancelled the request for additional evidence. I hope they are working on your case even though the status online says otherwise.

On Friday I received my step-daughter's NOA for the transfer of her AOS case to the CSC, so both cases are still being handled in the same manner! It was dated the same (March 16th) but just a day later in the mail.

Got my AP in the mail over the weekend. Rather dull sheet of paper with my mugshot. I'll never use it but nice to have another step ticked off......

Did you get two papers with the same info? Levi did so we weren't sure if that was the norm since it says its good for multiple trips. He ended up with three biometrics letters with two different dates too lol so maybe just duplicates by accident.

Hello January filers! Congratulation to everybody who got good news! Also I wish luck to the people who have their upcomming interviews.

Today I received AP, it is two pages. Also I was very surprised to get the letter about my case transfer! Almost two months later since my NOA1. It says "this is to advise you that in order to speed up processing we have transferred the above case to the following USCIS office for processing: California Service Center...." Well, I am not sure about the speed...seems like they are very slow on some cases... But hopefully it will go fast.

I knew things were going too smoothly . I received my AP in the mail today and i think they messed up the pic!! They put the pic of my wife who is the USC!!

Atleast i think they got it wrong shoudnt the pic be of the non-usc???

Anyideas what i should do now??

Did you get two papers with the same info? Levi did so we weren't sure if that was the norm since it says its good for multiple trips. He ended up with three biometrics letters with two different dates too lol so maybe just duplicates by accident.

I believe one will be taken by the IO at passport control/border and the other stamped when Levi uses his AP for the first time. That's the one he keeps and uses for multiple entries until he gets his green card.

Maybe you could make an Infopass appointment if you're in any rush to travel before your interview/green card.

Of course AP should have your picture, not your wife's! I wonder where they got her picture from, since you were supposed to send only your pictures with the package of documents. Try to either to make an infopass appointment at the local office or try to call USCIS first and talk to the immigration officer there (not just the operator since they are not much of a help)

We had our biometrics last march 3,2009. We still didn't have any update on our case both e-mail and snail mail. I was looking through some of January filers and their progress is so steady...I am a bit worried now!

Haaay! I hope we will something this week about our case...
