Hello All,

I just returned from work and checked my mailbox to find interview letter for my wife's case. The interview date is May 08, 2009. I hope everybody gets his/her interview letter soon.

Quick question: The interview letter says: Request to appear for initial interview --- is it a standard lingo that USICS uses for its interview notification letters?

Also, the letter also talks about bringing a list of things such as Medical examination, Affidavit of support, birth certificates of applicant and kids etc. etc. Is it standard for all interview letters or am I getting a SPECIAL treatment...

Our interview letter says the same thing, I think it is standard

I hope we are not required to bring the medical exam info since we do not have it! It was sent in with the application, along with the affadavit of support. It is curious, to me, they would ask you to bring the things that have already been given to them with the AOS application. :wacko:

I am not going to worry about the medical, it says to bring it (if not already submitted), I enclosed the required i 693 forms with my I485, I think this is a general letter and people that are adjusting status from other visas may require a medical at their interview

Congratulations on all interview dates and good news! :thumbs::dancing: It's so great that more and more January filers are getting their interview invitations letters!

I had my fingerprints taken today. The appointment was at 9am but we came about 40 minutes early. The receptionist asked for appointment letter and any ID with my married name (it's good that I had my military ID with me) and gave me the form to feel out. Even though it was Saturday morning, the ASC seemed to be pretty busy and I had to wait for about 50 minutes. The process itself took not more that 10-15 minutes. The only thing that bothers me is that while I was having my fingerprints taken, sometimes I could see the red sign on the computer screen saying "Poor matching" or something like that... I asked the woman if it was going to be Okay and she said that my fingerprints were hard to take since there were a lot of fine lines but she thought they should be all right... Well, now I am praying for my fingerprints not to be rejected!

And another little update: got an e-mail from USCIS on Friday saying that my AP had been approved and the notice was mailed on March 11 :dance: Waiting for it in the mailbox on Monday. The LUD on the site is dated March 12.

And another little update: got an e-mail from USCIS on Friday saying that my AP had been approved and the notice was mailed on March 11 :dance: Waiting for it in the mailbox on Monday. The LUD on the site is dated March 12.

wow! nice! no new updates in my case yet since the biometrics appt. i have a question though.

thoughmy case cant be seen online yet, will i still receive an email from the uscis with regards to my aos? how do you receive an email info from them? DO I NEED TO REGISTER OR SOMETHING? :unsure:

Jan 30 2009 - AOS with EAD and AP submitted to Chi, IL

Feb 4 - check cleared

Feb 10 - AOS, EAD, AP NOA1 received!

Feb 19 - Biometric appointment letter received

Feb 28 - Biometrics schedule

Mar 28 - AP and interview invitation received by mail

Apr 2 - EAD card recieved

May 15 - Interview Schedule - APPROVED!

Congrats to those who got their interview letters! :dance:

Hello All,

I just returned from work and checked my mailbox to find interview letter for my wife's case. The interview date is May 08, 2009. I hope everybody gets his/her interview letter soon.

Quick question: The interview letter says: Request to appear for initial interview --- is it a standard lingo that USICS uses for its interview notification letters?

Also, the letter also talks about bringing a list of things such as Medical examination, Affidavit of support, birth certificates of applicant and kids etc. etc. Is it standard for all interview letters or am I getting a SPECIAL treatment...

My letter says the same thing too :)

I hope we are not required to bring the medical exam info since we do not have it! It was sent in with the application, along with the affadavit of support. It is curious, to me, they would ask you to bring the things that have already been given to them with the AOS application. :wacko:

It says on the letter to bring the medical report and I-864 "unless already submitted".

3-17 interview letter in the mail--scheudled for 4-19-12

4-19 Wife passed interview! Oath to be scheduled

5-24 Oath ceremony! new US citizen

Shes, I don't think that you will be getting emails without being registered on USCIS site and having the cases in your portfolio. You need to create your log in and password, and when your cases are found in the system, you can choose the option "E-mail on" - only in this case you will be sent the e-mails on your cases updates. Sorry that you haven't got any news yet, hopefully thay are coming pretty soon!

11 March - AP approved and approval notice sent

14 March - biometrics at San Marcos ASC

16 March - EAD card production ordered

16 March - AP received in the mail

16 March - AOS touched

26 March - EAD received in the mail

9 April - Invitation for the interview received in the mail (issued 6 April)

13 May - AOS INTERVIEW!!! APPROOVED!!!!

15 May - Card production ordered!

21 May - Welcome Notice received in the mail

15 June - Card production ordered again

22 June - Green Card received in the mail!!! Woohoo!!! (dated 13 May 2009)
