I have a question for those who received RFEs... How long did it take for your online case status to change to "Case processing resumed" after they received your RFE response? Because I sent my RFE back almost a month ago and still nothing (no touches after Biometrics either)

Hello fellow January filers! I have a question that may seem a bit silly. When looking at the processing times for AOS for the different cities, which location should I look at? The one that I mailed my papers to? (Chicago) or the local office that will be performing my interview? (Indianapolis) We have not received our interview letter, but the biometrics are completed. I hope that I get to look at the Indy location because they are about a month faster than the Chicago location. hahaha But I am not getting my hopes up since the papers were mailed to that Chicago lockbox location.

I believe you should be looking at your local office for the interview. btw I will also be interviewing in Indy :star:

On my RFE....nothing has been updated online since they sent out the RFE. There is no special notation online for me regarding any RFE's, either. Mine has always shown "Current Status: Case received and pending." And, like yours, no updates since the biometrics.

Do you live in Indy? I am up on the north side--near the Broad Ripple area.

And just another tidbit of information: another fellow January filer who is not participating in this particular forum, but we have become friends from another forum, has received his interview letter for May 7th in Detroit. Curiously, he had sent his AOS papers in without the Civil Surgeon packet and was prepared to send it after receiving an RFE for it. His interview letter told him to bring it to the interview and not mail it in. I thought that was odd, but wanted to share that information with the group, for whatever it is worth. :D

Hi, cwaf, just wanted to say hi since we almost have the exact timeline, and i got a RFE asking for tax return also. I mailed my RFE reply on Feb 18, but I haven't seen any update online. It shows online that my last touch on 145 was on Jan 30th, and Feb 3rd for 130, 765 and 131. What about yours?

Hello! No changes in the status of my case numbers since Feb 3rd. The case numbers for work autorization and early parole were dated then, while the 485's were last dated January 30th, so our dates are right with each other, as well.

No I live in south central Indiana (Bloomington) - my husband is a student at IU :)

I haven't even got a touch after my biometrics :( My last touch was on Feb 2 telling me they'd sent out an RFE letter. I'm just happy I'm not the only one without touches after responding to an RFE.

So exciting hearing about more interview dates and January filers' first EAD card!

Update on our case, I received a letter from USCIS regarding the RFE service request I filed a few weeks back and I can finally breath because the letter has verified what the supervisor told me: the RFE was cancelled/satisfied and that they had resumed processing on my daughter's case awaiting biometrics submittal.:dance::dance:

Yay, finally official word from USCIS

question for the people who had a RFE. Did you receive a confirmation letter after mailing your RFE?

I didn't get any confirmation letter and as far as I know you won't get any confirmation letters, but they do change your online case status to something like "case processing resumed". And that's if they actually get round to updating it  I sent my RFE response a month ago and no updates, nothing. So if I hadn't sent it certified mail with delivery confirmation I'd probably be freaking out right now (but I still worry about it!)

just found this thread, add me to the list filed 1/20......also I am noticing that the cases that get transferred to CSC are usually transferred within a month, so is it safe to assume that if you don't see a transfer letter within 6 weeks you wont be transferred? or am I just foolishly trying to imply that USCIS has a pattern.....anyway, just an observation

Just received my appointment letter it is April 14th in San Francisco, It seems USCIS is no longer backed up, I was in no hurry for another freakin interview, but I guess it is a good thing, the green card will arrive shortly thereafter, good luck to the rest of the AOS filers of January

Welcome to Indiana! I hope you did not experience any of the bad weather this past Sunday. I am trying to brief my new family members on how the weather can be here in the midwest since they do not have tornadoes in Ukraine. I am trying to instill a sense of fear and respect for the weather so they can be prepared should something happen and I am not home. I do not want them to panic!

Should you find a time to come visiting to Indy, let me know (PM me so I do not miss your note) if you would like to meet and commiserate together. hahaha

no new touches for us, either!

Hello All,

I just received an email from USCIS informing me that EAD card production for my wife has been ordered and that I should get the card in next 30 days. The LUD on my 765 application has also been changed on the website.

Awaiting IL anxiously. Good luck to rest of you who are waiting!

Thanks.
