I am getting so frustrated when I read that all of your biometrics appt took only 15 minutes maximum while I was there for an hour and a half and I can still feel pain from the event since I had to cut out my lip piercing and now the new one is killing me since it's too tight and pinching my skin.

And there is no update on the website!

CONGRATS on the biometrics letter... every single progress in this long journey is indeed a blessing.:dance::dance:

I am taking classes so that has kept me from getting bored since January (I was in a sorry depressed state few months back due to homesickness and boredom-taking classes has helped me tremendously)... but I am also very ready to get a job, earn my own money and be able to move around without having to ask my husband or my mother-in-law to drive for me.

Updated for Levi Heather's biometric appointment.

I totally understand the boredom! I have been a full time student and employee since I was 16-years-old. Now I'm stuck at home and although I too am taking classes and I'm a now a full time mom it's not the same. I have my own car and drivers license but I do miss contributing to my family. Its nice to have a little extra money, that I don't need to feel guilty asking my husband for. Hopefully we'll get our paperwork soon. Has anyone found cases where the EAD takes less than 3 months? Almost every case I have seen has taken 3 months or longer which is not very uplifting.

Hello fellow January filers! I have a question that may seem a bit silly. When looking at the processing times for AOS for the different cities, which location should I look at? The one that I mailed my papers to? (Chicago) or the local office that will be performing my interview? (Indianapolis) We have not received our interview letter, but the biometrics are completed. I hope that I get to look at the Indy location because they are about a month faster than the Chicago location. hahaha But I am not getting my hopes up since the papers were mailed to that Chicago lockbox location.

And just another tidbit of information: another fellow January filer who is not participating in this particular forum, but we have become friends from another forum, has received his interview letter for May 7th in Detroit. Curiously, he had sent his AOS papers in without the Civil Surgeon packet and was prepared to send it after receiving an RFE for it. His interview letter told him to bring it to the interview and not mail it in. I thought that was odd, but wanted to share that information with the group, for whatever it is worth. :D

I have a question for those who received RFEs... How long did it take for your online case status to change to "Case processing resumed" after they received your RFE response? Because I sent my RFE back almost a month ago and still nothing (no touches after Biometrics either)
