JulianDavid, did you receive your biometrics schedule already? i'm just curious since you still don't have a schedule in our timeline and i'm wondering how long it'll take for mine to arrive. i'm also expecting an rfe for i693 by the way.

Felb, unfortunately we are still waiting for the bio invitation Called USCIS yesterday and placed a service request (it can be filed after 30 days from NOA date). Was told to wait for the reply within 30 days. Well, hope it will help... But you shouldn't be worried yet - your NOA is much later than ours, so you might get your invitation any day now. By the way, how is Dbears? Did you get your invitation?

Was told to wait for the reply within 30 days. Well, hope it will help... But you shouldn't be worried yet - your NOA is much later than ours, so you might get your invitation any day now. We are in the same boat. Have not received a biometrics notice as of yesterday. Our NOA date was the 13th of January.......So, it appears that many who filed around the 7th of January to the 12th have not received a biomterics appointment notice....

Our service center is MSC but it can still be transferred to California, I have been told that MSC is just an in-between. However there are people who have been transferred to California who still end up getting interviewed, its just down to luck really. Dont worry about it, in the end what is the point because we will all do what is necessary to get through this, right?

I think MSC is where all the applications go before being forwarded to local offices or other services centres. According to this link, they do all the pre-processing like "conducting background security checks, performing initial evidence reviews, adjudication of associated I-765 and I-131 applications (filed with the I-485 or separately), denial of adjustment of status cases for applicants who are statutorily ineligible, and forwarding scheduled cases to the USCIS local office for adjudication."

I think MSC is where all the applications go before being forwarded to local offices or other services centres. You are right everyone sent their applications to the Chicago lock box and they are sent to MSC before being sent to the local office. Don't worry about the receipt number starting with MSC it's normal!! From there it can be sent to CSC or not. Interview times are still a little bit away.

On other news: I called the USCIS and finally talked to a real person and she said not to worry. Some people are able to track their cases online or via the phone and some people just aren't. She said to keep checking back to see if they have updated and add your (or my) case. She looked it up and said that she can see it, which is the important thing, and that everything is moving alone fine. So now I guess I try to ignore the amount of time it's taking and focus soley on my daughter, husband and school. Just thought some people may be interested in hearing what I found out.

We filed on the 7th of January - NOA Date was the 13th of January. As of yesterday, February 12th, still no biometric notice..........

Not yet ... I even scheduled infopass last wednesday but was told to just wait since according to the guy at the information desk, it takes 1-2months from receipt date before biometrics schedule could be given. He said it depends on the state and district you belong to and unfortunately I am under Raleigh, NC uscis office... some disctricts apparently move so much faster compared to where I am in. The officer said to visit them again if I still don't receive anything after a month or 2. SIGH.
