Ok is it even USCIS I enter our receipt number into at this point LOL? Our number starts with MSC....

thanks again

Hey Steph! I think you'll need to enter them in separate but not positive as ours still isn't showing in their system. We received our NOA's and the transfer to CSC letter for the AOS but no bio appt. yet.

Hmm yeah the first one I tried did not work...but then again we haven't gotten any letters saying our case was transferred to them either LOL....oh well we will keep on waiting! At least we have the biometrics done so now it is pretty much all up to them.

Maricar and her daughter had their biometrics today in OKC. It took about 20 minutes for both and the staff was very friendly, including security at the front door. Maricar had fingerprints of all 10 fingers, a photo and a signature. Her daughter had a photo and only the print of one finger. No signature for her because of her age. I wish everything else involving USCIS went this smoothly :)

Today in the mail we receive a "transfer notice" for our i-485 from USCIS.. saying our case is transferred to California. Does this mean we won't need to go through interview? Yikes if so!

We still haven't got the NOA1 for AOS, EAD or AP.. so far we got one appointment letter for finger prints.. and then this transfer notice.. hopefully the NOAs will eventually arrive so we can track them down online.. is there another way to get case number??

Congratulations on your transfer to CSC! Yep, most likely you won't need to go through the interview  You say that you haven't got your NOAs yet but in your timeline I can see the NOAs date 27th January... Am I missing something?

Thanks!! yeah.. i see what u meant about my timeline.. I put NOA there but later I figured out there was the appointment letter.. not the NOA.. I will need to change that.

Hope u get the appointment letter soon!!

EnS, thank you for the wish! When are you having your biometrics appointment? I suggest you calling USCIS and asking them about your NOAs. The thing is that you should bring the hard copy of the NOA to your appointment (at least it is stated so in NOA letter). Good luck!

Hi JulianDavid, our appointment will be next thursday (2/12) in Milwaukee. Hopefully the appointment letter can serve as NOA at that point. I tried to call the USCIS number but kept having the answering machine options.. is there a way to actually talk to a human???

Hi... I just want to ask how soon we can get the 2008 tax returns if we apply it this month? We need it for my interview at USEM. If we can't get it early, we're just going to use the 2007 tax returns. :)

Today I got two things in the mail. First I got my biom. appointment notice for Feb. 27th and I updated it in the list below.

Second, I got two RFE and I'm not sure what they are asking. They should be more specific. It's related to the 854 or 864A but they don't say which one.

Here, I'll copy what they wrote.

"For the household's member income to be included in the household income, the household's member income must have been from a lawful source and earned while the household member was authorized to work in the USA.

In order to process your application further, submit evidence that the household member on form I-864, Affidavit of Support, or Form I-864A Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member, was authorized to work in the USA. Examples include one of the following:

blablabla... "

so my sponsor for 864 is my husband, U citizen, and the sponsor for 864A is my husband's brother who lives with us, US citizen as well. I submitted my husband's copy of birth certificate. are they asking for my brother in law's birth certificate? which we didnt include because i may have misread, or didnt see that they needed it... or are they asking for my husband's real copy of birth certificate because i only submitted a photocopy of it? i'm kinda lost here.

then they are asking for something else related to my brother in law's affidavit of support. i submitted the copy of his past year tax record. but now they are asking for a letter from his employer. i dont remember reading anything like that in the instruction.

can somebody help please??

Lea, i don't think they need the original birth certificate. have you submitted pay stubs or any proof of source of income? maybe you could just submit everything you think they might need, including the birth certificate of your bro in law. while it may not be required in the instruction, i think it's wise that you comply what they ask for. they might just want to be sure that your husband or your brother-in-law legally worked here in the US. ;)
