I filed i130/485/131/765 on Jan 20 2009, got the receipts on Jan 31st, saying they received them on Jan 28th.

I have question. How do I put my timeline at the bottom of my post? Do i need to manually edit my signature or it can ported from my timeline.

OK, here's your Biometrics review,,,,, Tiff and I arrived on time at the ASC in Brooklyn NY. It wasn't too crowded. In the appointment letter, nowhere did it say bring a marriage certificate (But bring it). First we checked in and filled out a simple form to register. Then they checked ID, since Tiff's married name did not match her passport, that's where the marriage certificate comes in to play. After that, they took her fingerprint via livescan, and photographed her. The whole experience was rather pleasant, and I shot the breeze with the ASC manager while I waited on the side. Pleasant fellow, even gave me his card with his email on it. We were in and out within the hour.

Goodluck.

Thank you so much for your review! I'm feeling a little more confident with what we have to deal with. My passport is in my married name because we applied for a K-3 and were married 2 years ago. Should we still take the marriage certificate with us?

Just adding my timeline for persons who will find it helpful. All the best for each of us who are journeying together as January 2009 AOS Submitters. I have registered on the USCIS website to receive emails regarding the processing of my applications and received an email that intial evidence is required. I don't know what evidence I have left out, as I checked all documents about ten times. Well I guess things slipped through my sight and will find out soon enough. Peace and love to you and the all the best

You can track your case online and you haven't had your biometrics appointment yet? I thought cases didn't show up till after your biometrics appointment. Good luck with the RFE I'm sure it's nothing major and you can get things going again soon!!

Hi Hilkka, I think you will be fine with just your passport, since all they want to do is establish ID. Good luck.

I did just check our case status online and was thrilled to see that the notice on the USCIS website said our case as of yesterday February 2nd was transferred to the California Service Center and a notice was sent to us in the mail with further instructions. So, I am hoping that the notice informing us that the case was transferred to the CSC will also indicate the timing and location of the Biometrics.

We are however, happy to hear that the case went to the CSC which means no interview.......

Jonichka, when did you mail your AOS package and what is the date for your NOA1?

We mailed the documents on the 7th of January. I am from Chicago so they got to the lockbox on the 8th. The NOA's were dated January 13 - we recevied on the 14th.

The EAD and the 131 are at the Missouri Service Center (according to the USCIS Website) and as of the 2nd of February, the AOS forms were sent to California.

I anticipate a hard copy of something in the post today...... I will let you know what I receive as we both filed at approximately the same day.....

Good for you johnichka, your AOS is moving along really good.

JulianDavid, I am sharing your sentiments, still no news for biometrics here and all our cases still can't be found. I will be doing your suggestion though, I am giving them a few more days and then I will set up infopass with the local CIS office.

Just hang on there, we will get our schedule and our whole application straighten up soon. God bless always. (F)

Glo

I did all that, the same way I did my EACXXXXXX receipt number from I-129F petition before (which didn't have any problem at all) and I am positive JulianDavid did it right also. It is not unusual for USCIS site to be inaccessible to give late information... there are even some who were not able to check their case online till after they get approved and have the green card on hand... I am a little irratated with it but I don't worry about it that much... what I worry though is not receiving my biometrics letter yet. Usually, biometrics comes with the NOA1 or follows soon after... and it has been awhile since we received the NOA1, I just hope it didn't get lost somewhere. :crying:

Dbears, thanks for your support! (F) It's always easier to know that we are not the only ones :) Just like you said, I'm not too much concerned about not finding our case on USCIS website since it's quite common thing. But what I am really worried about is biometrics appointment  Well, let's wait a little more and pray for the good news in the nearest future. Hopefully, after this matter is straightened up, the whole process will go smoothly for us

You two are more patient than I am. The only thing that kept me sane during our K-3 process was being able to track my case online and see that its at least being touched and not just ignored laying in a pile on someones desk. Hopefully you'll both get your letters soon!!
