Hello all, Im new here and to this whole process. I enjoyed reading all the post thanx for the insight. I live here in New England couple hours drive from Vermont. I submitted my I-129F approx 3 weeks ago and have had no response from them. The Application package I submitted was perfect to what I have read about preparing it. Reviewing my checking account I noticed they have not even cashed the check yet. Is this normal that it could take a month before even opening my application?

Vermont USED TO BE the fastest..... they've not exactly been proving that lately, given the feedback on this site.

10/07/2006 WEDDING DAY!

11/14/2006 AOS packet made it to 'the box' after being overnighted.

12/02/2006 Paul had biometrics

12/14/2006 AOS Forwarded to CSC AND AP Application approved.

01/17/2007 First touch of 2007 at CSC

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

I think all the Service Centers are dealing with K-1 applications a little differently now that the IMBRA issue has come into play.

Usually, the NOA1 is received fairly soon after the application is received, so three weeks does seem a bit long, but just keep watching for your check to be cashed and hopefully your NOA1 will arrive shortly.

Welcome to VJ. I'm relatively new here too and there's so much to read.

It took 3 weeks from me putting my application in the mail until I received the NOA1, so hopefully yours will come any day now.

Did you send it in with some type of tracking so you can see if it was delivered? Hopefully you did so you at least know they received it.

09 May 2006 - Delivered to Laguna Niguel (USPS tracking) and is also the Received Date on the NOA1

24 May 2006 - Check cleared the bank

25 May 2006 - Received NOA1 in the mail (postmarked 24 May and notice date of 22 May)

28 June 2006 - Received IMBRA RFE in the mail (postmarked 27 June and notice date of 23 June)

29 June 2005 - Returned IMBRA RFE overnight service to CSC (signed as received at 7:46 AM, 30 June)

03 July 2006 - Received 2 identical emails from USCIS-CSSO saying they sent me the IMBRA RFE

04 July 2006 - Touched

I'm in the same boat...we sent it to VSC on May 19 and it was received by them on May 20 and have yet to hear anything. We're being patient though as we both know that with the new IMBRA law it's going to take us a little longer.

Everything will work out in the end...just have to wait, but the important thing is we WILL be together :)

Thanx for the hello. Yes we are in the same boat our applications are 4 days apart (same service center). Did you notice the post after yours? Luis and Laura wrote "Apparently they´re now holding up even NOA1´s while they wait for the new form." I hope thats not the case the current I-129F is current through the end of June. Does this mean the are going to send us a new form next month and stat this process over?
