Mistake in Date of Birth certificate

I checked my Date of Birth certifiacte from registratr office and it has an error.....My DOB is Sep 25 and it shows Sep 23,But rest of the details are correct....My parents name, Place of birth, year of birth etc

my dad has been following up with them to amke the change but they just refuse to budge......

I really have no clue how to do this, all my documents, school certificates, passort, PAN cards...everything........have the Sep 25 date.....

Any suggestions.....can I give an affidavit my parents along with this Birth certificate that verifies that I was born on Sep 25th, may I also attach my school birth certificate...will that work.....I googled and found this document

Hi Aman,

yes, the BC is a very critical document and I would suggest that send them as much proof that your DOB is infact Sep 25. back it up with copy of passport biographic page, school certificates, PAN cards and whatever you have that would indicate your correct DOB. i am so sorry to hear that this came up during the last minute. have u not had this on your mind all this time?

if you have any political connections there, try to use them now. maybe ur MC can do something. sometimes you may just need to feed them some rupees, if u know what i mean, you would be in much better position if they give u the corrected document.

Yaar from last 2 month I have done nothing else...everyone is there....I just hate this Indian Bureacy....My father is going to go to the registrars office again tomorrow, If I don't get the corrected DOB till January 7th, I am planning to send

1) DOB from School

2) Affidavit from Parrents

3) PAN Card copy

4) DL copy

5) Ration card Copy

6) Wrong Certifcate from the Registrar

7) Copy of passport

If I get after that...then I guess that I have no other option but to get something from the registar office......

AC&CC - here is what Aman told us the other day:

"There is a good news on my birth certificate, there is a law under registration of Birth and Death in India, in case of dicrepancy in the orignal records, If both parents and two Gazetted ( Read Government) employees give an affidavit stating the correct Date of Birth, corrections can be made in the register...."

so thats your answer.
