Im going to be visiting my boyfriend in the spring for 2-3 months. Im just wondering what kind of proof I should bring to the POE to convince them of my intent to return?? I dont have a job, Im hoping to have one lined up in June, when I come back as a temporary 1 year contract.

All I have is:

-Custody of my kids (primary custody) and they are remaining here in Canada with my ex husband while I visit my boyfriend as he gets back from his military tour from the last year (wanna be there for his homecoming then for 2 months after);

-My bank account info stating my mortgage payment coming out with the bank statement showing my name (I lost my original mortgage documents , well I cant find them, theyre burried in some boxes, or do you think the statement is enough?)

-Im enrolled in a community college course that starts in september, for a year.

-ALL my family lives here in Canada

-return ticket

-medical insurance coverage for those 2 months

Im just nervous, since the last ime I went to the states to visit him for 10 days, the customs person at the POE gave me a hard time. Because I had no job, but she knew I had 2 kids and I was a stay at home mom. She knew I had a mortgage, but nothign to document it. And I didnt have my return ticket on hand, only the e-confirmation code.

But I dont know if she was suspicious either because I just visited 3 weeks prior, for a week. Literally, all I had was my passport last time I crossed.

Just last time with my experience it was just for 10 days and this time Im hoping to go for 2 months. But this time Ill actually bring info with me

Edited to add: If they ask why I dont hve a job and can afford a mortgage - my exhusbands child support payment is what pays it. He makes more then enough to pay my mortgage and property taxes,for my child support and my Child tax benefit (get a huge chunk) covers my other expenses
