Hi all,

Friend of mine recently got her 10 year GC. She got married in Rep. of Georgia then had interview in Germany and then she moved to the States. Her first GC (2year) showed the INTERVIEW DATE on her GC. Now, this new GC shows her WEDDING DATE. Is that correct? Or does it have to show the INTERVIEW DATE, like on the first GC?????

IMO, neither date is correct. The "permanent resident since" date should be the date that PR status was granted. In the case of an immigrant visa holder, that is the day they enter. In the case of someone filing for Adjustment of Status (I-485), it's the date they were approved (often the interview date).

She should make sure her record is correct so that she applies for naturalization on the right schedule.
