As a lifelong Raider fan, I take exquisite pleasure in each and every Bronco failure. Muahahahahahahahaha

I always respected Shanahan though, not as a coach though. As a first rate pain in Al Davis' a$$. He continues his lawsuit against Al Davis for his 1989 termination and still claims that he is owed his salary for his contract.

Considering what a douche Davis is, he probably does owe him money.

WOW !!! is the people of Denver happy about this??

People are stunned more than anything, at least everyone at work is shocked. I think it's a sad turn of events especially since he still had a few years left in his contract. Besides, the Broncos' performance is not just his Shannahan's responsibility, Jay Cutler has been the best quarterback they've had and in my opinion that had a lot to do with it. Yes, they had 3 shots to make it to the play offs and they failed but no one complained about Shannahan's coaching when they won all previous games since the season started.

By the way, does anyone know where in Denver his new restaurant will be? Is it downtown?

In the end though, it all lies at the coach's feet. For whatever reason, Shanahan just hasn't been able to bring home the gold. I think he's one of the most brilliant coaches ever to coach the game, but sometimes the best thing you can do is make change. I hate to see him go, but I think the Broncos are making the right call.

Yeah there's one in Lodo and one in Cherry Creek. I haven't been to the one in Cherry Creek. Great food, excellent staff and atmosphere. Very pricey but worth it.

He will forever be remembered as the inventor of the systematic chop block, i mean "zone" blocking scheme. They really need to outlaw that before more people get hurt.

Considering what a douche Davis is, he probably does owe him money.

Considering that Shanahan was fired for cause....no, no he doesn't owe him anything. Al is an a$$hole, not a douche :P For the longest time, fans would respond to that with "Yeah, but he's our a$$hole". Now everyone just wants him to go away.

Maybe he'll move the team back to LA.

I don't think even LA wants to deal with him again

Jones would fire Phillips in a heartbeat if he decides to go after Shanahan. The Cowboy's problems are more than just coaching.
