Morning and belated birthday greetings. Last night I went to listen to 2 speakers from a charity I give to. One woman was the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the other was from Nigeria. It was great to hear how there groups do their work in each of the countries. The group is Woman4Women.org. You get matched with a sister that will correspond with you during her year in the program. She gets skills training and a small amount of money.

Anyone that is looking for a good charity should check them UNO out.

Sylvia hate to mess with ya, but I am the best charity I know and anyone that wants to get matched with a sista that will correspond with them for a whole year, can contact my broke a$$:rofl::rofl:

just to reinterate, plz give to "The republic of UNOz Kidz democratic relief fund for the advancement of her kidz college fund INC.org":lol:

Sorry Uno but I just think helping strangers is something we should all practice more of. Although at times I think they don't get much stranger than those of us in SubSarahan I doubt $27 a month would make much of an inpact on your life.

Happy early Valentine's Day!

Sylvia, I know what you mean about helping others more often. It's a very rewarding feeling for everyone involved. As a matter of fact, I'll be doing some volunteer work tonight at my church from 11pm-3am. :D

Hola Silvia,

How's your husband's changing of the guard process going?

The father is finally laid to rest. His mother couldn't cook for a whole month and both Joseph and his mother had to shave the heads a month after the burial. He is back at Lagos. For the next year his father is still officially ruling then there is a year of morning and at the end of that they will start the process of preparing for the next ruler. During this time the cabinet handles things. I guess they take their processing format after USCIS.

Well,

Okay boss lady, what would you susgest? Since your in charge at work I thought I seek your advice here. Should we start an excercise thread (in which people can post how much they did) or should we keep it in here?

Uno would be good on posting; (she does one situp a day ) we may even motivate her to do a little more.

Boaz and her hubbie does the excercise thing.

MrsJibowu is getting started and you perserverance have your bike in the basement; (could you excercise there)

I'm almost sure I can talk Chipas into at least 5-minutes......... and maybe more peeps will join in once we get it started.

Waiting on you Boss Lady. IN CHARGE

I just had to post this one, and yes, it was in my "inbox" :star:

Written In Red

READ: 1 John 4:7-19

God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. —1 John 4:9

My first Bible was printed mostly in black type, but some of its words were in red. It didn't take me long to discover that the ones in red had been spoken by Jesus.

More than 100 years ago, a man named Louis Klopsch published the first "red-letter" Bible.

As he thought about Jesus' words in Luke 22:20, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you," he purposely used blood-red ink to call specific attention to His words.

The words of the Bible are priceless to us because they tell of the "love letter" God sent 2,000 years ago in the Person of His Son (1 John 4:10).

Jesus' purpose in coming to earth as a Man was to die, to be sacrificed, to give His life for ours. God's plan was written in red—written with "the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot" (1 Peter 1:19).

Those of us who have accepted God's gift of love are called to be "letters" to those who don't know Him. We are epistles of Christ "written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God" (2 Cor. 3:3).

Long before a day in February was set aside to celebrate love, the world received a love letter—and that changed everything (John 3:16). —Cindy Hess Kasper

I celebrate, liberate and dedicate my life to His Glory.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I finally got out of the bed to eat a bowl of cereal. I'm going to the gym for a Zumba class. Guess what?!?!?!? On the kitchen counter was an envelope addressed to me, and a box with a beautiful necklace! Am I suprised?!?!?!? YES! Because for the past two years my husband would make a point of getting me something days before Valentine, and say 'everyday is Valentine'. :innocent: Whew ... last night I went to TJ Maxx and found a few good deals (for myself). Good thing I had a little bit of shame and picked up a couple shirts and pants for him. I did not do it out of the sake of it being Valentine's Day, I just picked it up. But you know what?!? It will suddenly become his Valentine's Day gift. (Thank God I was not being selfish, otherwise, he would not have received anything).

I've got almost an hour before my class. Guess I will make him a nice breakfast. See what a little bit of kindness can motivate me to do? :luv: He's really going to be suprised at my cooking breakfast. :o ... :D

ALL things work TOGETHER for GOOD!

Hope everyone had a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY (L) !!!!

Had a good Valentine's day......went to the mall to pick my gift!!!!!! We missed the movie, got there about five mins after the movie started it was sooooo many people at the theatre by the time we got to getting the tickets, they had sold out and the next show would start two hours later. We went for ice cream and we spent a hour or so just talking and enjoying one another's company. I was fussing at him because he did not give me a card, he said but I gave you a kiss this morning. I said "but honey I really wanted a card". I was suprised when I got home, he not only gave me one card but, I had two of the most beautiful cards (L)
