Job hunting is dismal at best, but we have God's favor. He will be volunteering two days a week at a Christian Community support program working with youths and might conduct a men's bilbe study. He is also teaching Sunday school with me during the 2nd service. These will be great refernces in a couple of weeks time. We are hopeful.

I checked out the MMC website, just current per diem, but we still applied. I say we because he pecks like a chicken ont he computer and I can't take the pain watching him.

He just explained to me that he used to type my email on his own computer then head to the cafee and used the memory stick to upload my note.

Hello Baby,

I have not seen you on in a bit. I just returned from the gym. It was great.

I have day of helping myhusband find a job.

Good Morning everyone!! Hope all is good with you...........I'm off to start the laundry and cleam my messy house. Kids will be off to their dad's in a few hours and I'll be able to have some alone time later.....maybe i'll be good and go to the gym??

Hey Missy I've been kind of hiding out lately and haven't been posting much on VJ. Been feeling kind of discouraged by this visa process and didn't want to vent my bad mood.....lol. Been going to the gym though and that's making me feel better. How'd the job hunt go with the husband?? You should have him look at MMC we are ALWAYS hiring and we have a large african community that works there......just a thought.

I don't know about in your area, but here the US Census Bureau is starting to hire for the 2010 census. www.census.gov Here in Washington they are looking for someone who speaks some African languages - so maybe there they are too. They pay pretty well and the work is all on YOUR time - very flexible. I worked for them for about a year on the survey that was the trial run for the 2010 census and it was nice to have the extra money + 58.5 cents per mile!

They have MANY different surveys too, besides the 2010 census and seem to always be looking for Field Reps. I loved the training! Put me up in a fancy hotel and gave me so much money for food each day, it was great!

OOPS forgot about that. Although, I wonder if they would hire him as a translator. I know I could have hired anyone I knew if I needed a translator.

WAIT!!! Here's from the census application:

HOW CAN YOU QUALIFY FOR CENSUS WORK?

1. United States citizens will be given preference for

census jobs. However, noncitizens may be considered

if qualified citizens are not available, particularly in

areas where bilingual ability is a necessary

qualification. You must present documentation of

employment eligibility. The types of acceptable

documentation are listed on the reverse side of

this page.

Good morning everyone.

Saturday was :cry::ranting:

Sunday was

I am so not looking forward to arguments. I am happy to be in the "never fight" era of our relationship. I got short with him once but we both understood why I was a bit stressed so nothing came of it.
