I picked him up in the worst snow storm this year. WE had a two hour drive home in a snow storm, which was a blizzard just two hours prior. White nuckled and my gas pettle foot was stiff. He staying in the house for three days just sleeping, praying, and eating.

Yesterday morning he walked to the store for eggs. I am so proud of him.

MrsJ, what was initial reaction to snow and ice? It seems like he's handling it well for someone who went from African heat and jumped straight into winter weather.

Mondays are great Charles! They are a fresh new start. No regrets or remorse for last week, because this is a new week with plenty of time to reach those accomplishments.

good morning subbies. hope everyone has a good monday, if such a thing is possible on a monday :P

Have a joy filled day today. I am excited about the great things to come this week.

It's Your Time

Today's Scripture

“The vision is yet for an appointed time..." (Habakkuk 2:3).

Today's Word from Joel and Victoria

God has planted seeds of greatness on the inside of you, and He has predestined that those things in your heart come to pass. You may have had more than your share of unfair things happen in your life. You probably have plenty of reasons to just settle where you are. But understand, the depth of your past is an indication of the height of your future.

If you’ve been through a lot of negative things in the past, it just means that your future is bigger and brighter and greater than you can even imagine. It’s your time to step out and embrace all that God has for you! Are there dreams and promises that you’ve let go of? Are there things that God has placed in your heart, but because of time, because of disappointments, you’ve given up on them?

Today is the day to give your dreams a new beginning. Today is the day to allow faith to rise in your heart. Remember, what’s happened to you is not nearly as important as what’s happened in you, and you are stronger and wiser than ever before. It’s your time; it’s your season to move forward into the destiny that God has prepared for you!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for the destiny that You have placed in my heart. I choose to stand in faith knowing that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf. I am confident that I will embrace all that You have for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Nevermind! I went back to catch up and caught up with my own vent. Anywhoo....thanks everyone for the well wishes. I'm soooooo happy. It's a good job with good benefits and a good salary. Not bad for his first job here. Looks good. He's already started the classes and stuff. I don't think his regular work schedule will start for a while cause there were medical exams and drug tests (he said they even gave him a breathalyzer~isn't that crazy) and today he's in some kind of ergo class, then he's got a two day orientation, then he's got a one week training. I figure, as long as they're paying him, it's all good! Hee Hee!! He's thrilled! He'll be back to his old self in NO time!!

Boaz, you'd better rest up for the inauguration (I know I spelled that incorrectly). Of course if you're feeling poorly, I'd be happy to accompany your husband so he doesn't have to sit all alone! :innocent:

Shaun, smile, Jesus loves you!

PS. Bassi doesn't watch wrestling. He watches football/soccer. And Saturday is the BIG soccer day for some reason so he's insane in front of the tv watching soccer on weekends. He's also into the SciFi channel for some reason. I don't like it cause at night it's always GhostHunters or some demon movie that freaks me out. I have to put my Bible under my pillow. :P

I don't do hot foods well and Joseph laughed at how I acted as if he had given me poison. He would even tell me if the dishes had "poison" in them when we ate out. We got more than one strange look from that.
