Income?

I am living with my parents and they are supporting me at the moment. Does their income count towards my income level? Does it ask for total household income or just what I am making. Can I include my parents income level since i am a student and living with them.

I will be using a joint sponsor and what ive read about the req's for a joint sponsor it says that their entire household income incl any from other household members counts for them. Is it the same for me, even if I am not making any income?

I think parents can be used as a co-sponsor but their income cannot count as yours since you are over 18 and legally an adult.

So one will fix my mistakes if I am wrong

absolutely correct! but if u live in the same house, that doesnt neccessary mean that you have to provide the whole household income. you can just provide ur income if you want to file independently. I-864EZ can be filed in that case.

The O P 's question is not about using her parents as sponsor. She is asking if the parents income which is used to support HER is to be considered income for HER when she files.

ABSOLUTLY not. In fact this makes it look even worse by pointing out the fact that she has no income. NVC wants to know what the income level is of the PETITIONER and or her sponsor.

The second question is very confusing.

The sponsor is required to state the amount of people living in thier house that they support.

I have read a lot of your posts and I think the best option for you is to get a job. This way you can:

1. stand up for yourself

2. get ready to support your husband when he gets here. you will have to do it for a few days anyway until he gets a job. if the two of you have decided to marry, then you both need to support each other as well.

sorry to be this blunt but i think this is the only option.

Your parents AOS will work, no confusion, just fill form I-864 and not the I-864EZ. And mail it in. I'm sure your parents make more than that of what the poverty line says. Fill a form and put in both your parent's income. If you still nervous to do so. Call NVC directly at 603-334-0700. Talk to the rep. and ask him/her the question. Aint no1 here can answer it more accurately then them. There lines are always busy so try calling them between 13:00 and 15:00 Eastern Time. Thanks
