Ok I just have to say right now that if Nawal is moving to NYC May 09 and Patti will be there and Dorothy and Ash I may have to trek it across North America U.S. of A. and fly one way out of NYC to meetcha all! That would be totally bypassing the usual Seattle route.

Oh and STAR! HL YEAH!

Check out Atlantic Ave. in Brooklyn if/when you come here - I have not been there yet but I hear there are tons of MENA/Islamic shops - probably a good place to find spices, books, Islamic dress etc. I usually go to 74th St. and Roosevelt Ave., Jackson Heights, Queens which is S. Asian - lots of Islamic shops here too and better/cheaper desi food than you find in Manhattan.

Hey Dolma,

You need to give me some recommendations on these restaurants - I live few blocks from 74th/Roosevelt Ave. and since I buy halal meat at the Trade Fair on 37th Ave. I am in that area few times a week. Maybe one day we can get together for some desi food - I need an expert to guide me thru the experience.

D
