Yes I know that excitement. The joy of experiencing his presences is overwhelming. I float through the office.

I found pounded yam online, but not at a trusted site.

This New years I will cook Jollof Rice.

Yes, Food that is cooked is easier to bring through customs if it is meat products etc. I know people who have brought dried fish, lentils, those spicy powders, any food wrapped in banana or cassava leaves. Raw meat is a no-no. I brought back several dry leaves with me, something called baton du manioc, several concentrated soups, pepper, pumpkin seeds ............. I had to leave them in the garage until I found containers in which to seal the items, but I had not issues with those. However, leaving I was asked if I had wood carvings, which I didn't, and that's all they checked in my luggage in Africa. In the United States I walked through customs in S.F. and nobody opened anything that I had. My SO did go through customs in NY, but nothing was questioned.

The longer it takes to introduce yourself the less you've actually accomplished

I bought back Kola nuts which US customs cut open to inspect. I asked why and was told to make sure no drugs are smuggled inside the nuts.

Thanks guys for the lovely responses, As some of u know i have waited a long time to be with him so this is awesome. I prepare nigerian dishes very well so i thank god for that. We will also have thanksgiving for his arrival and throw a big party !!. I am scared of him bringing in items because i know in miami i had a hard time when i brought dried fish spices they put me through the hooks man. I dont know about atlanta they seem pretty cool here though i just dont want any problems at all if you know what i mean.
