OOPSIE... that's hilarious.. she didn't remember what she gave you.. I guess next year you must give her a little book that records what gift you gave to whom on what occasion!!

I guess the room is one thing.. my mum has a huge hutch that she puts her's on.. it's cute, but it takes SO much work to set up (it's got street lights that light up, an ice rink, and over a dozen houses).. blech.. too much work for me.

well to be fair she didn't give me the exact same set :P..

the thing with my sister-in-law is that she feels obligated to get everyone one something... she might even ask you what you want but she won't get that..... like I told her that my hubby needed pants and she thanked me profusely for telling her.. and then she got him a jacket :P

this year we didn't get the adults gifts.. I just made some chocolates for the adults... and I had made a picture slide show of their mom's pictures for hubby and his sibs and dad...

That is beyond fcuked up. To me, that puts them in the same category as pedophiles. Anyone that would harm a child is nothing but SICK!

ha! I got DVDs and I don't have a tv either...

News Flash....you can play DVDs on a computer.

Something tells me you at least have ACCESS to a computer....I'm just guessing.

As for you folks without TVs...what's with that?

I know there's not much more than ####### on broadcast TV, I use mine to watch DVDs

or play my Wii about 99% of the time. I do turn it for things like the debates, election results,

or such...but can do without the game-shows, music videos, and stupid sit-coms.

For the same reason, I don't listen to much radio...but I do have a radio and TV.

Are you folks trying to prove something...if so, what is it?

As for the Wii....let me know when the bidding starts. We've got two...but there's

always room to adopt another. :)

My ridiculous gift...mom gave me ANOTHER travel bag and cologne.

I gave her a new car....was hoping for a sweater in return. :)

We got a Wii from my MIL.

We do not have, nor want, a TV.

What to do...

sorry, but that's so funny because she must know you don't have a tv?! poor spirit. If you decide not to sell it or something, you could always donate it to a women's shelter or something. They're always looking for toys etc for the kids to play with while they're living there.

OR, hook it up to MIL's tv, challenge her to a boxing match and kick the snot out of her.

I didn't get any bad gifts, but next year I'd love to boycott gift giving and just enjoy Christmas.

But my mother-in-law did even better - we got a Christmas card from her that contained instructions what to do with her body after her death.

what the . . . . .

Send her a card back and tell her what you'll be doing with her money.
