I am Raelynn. I wish I could say I had a job, I wish I had a career. I was a stay at home mom for so many years, then I divorced and I have not been able to find work because its been so long since I had employment. My husband now, has been here a year and had a great job in his field (photojournalist)but got laid off in October. We are both full of dreams and hope our future will become brighter. I wish we could have a job posting thread here for those who can help each other out with job ideas and tips, or recommedations.

Staashi...I have so wondered many times what your real name was!!! Glad to know it now!!

Nice to see i'm not the only one that stayed at home, got left behind, and now can't get a job because it's been too long since I was employed. No one wants to hire you unless you're getting assistance.. I don't want to get assistance just to get a job.

I myself thought of the same idea as you.. "job posting thread here for those who can help each other out with job ideas and tips, or recommedations". I guess we one of needs to start one. It might just help someone who needs a job badly.

Oh yes, and I'm a librarian and have been known to spew out Dewey Decimal numbers to describe my life. Actually, I do have a fancy job title I guess, I'm the Readers Advisory Librarian for the public library where I work which means I'm charge of ordering all the fiction for my library (which is a lot  )

Oh and my handsome fiance is a chef. Yay for marrying a chef! :P

I'm Sara :) I was a mortgage underwriter for years and years (and no, I did not UW any of the junk loans that began this economic downward spiral) I got laid off almost a year ago and havent been able to find another job. The financial hardship has sucked but its been kind if nice to be a stay home mommy to my baby and teenage son!

Hey guys,

Im Lisa and Im the Ketucky Waiver Manager at a home health agency....(i make sure we get reimbursed and stay in compliance with state reg.'s)

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Raelynn

no worries dear, i too sacrificed and stayed home with the babes and well although it is extremely

comforting to stay home I found myself having to climb back up the career ladder. Career? what career, raising kids

was my life and part time work around the family. And staying at home is no walk in the park

My job doesnt come with a fancy name or a big paycheck but how can one measure the worth of what you provide

when you can stay at home with your youngerns....I certainly have a long way to go to be where i want to be

but for someone who had a hard time I sure achieved alot.
