YOU CANT CHANGE THE PAST BUT YOU CAN RUIN THE PRESENT BY WORRYING OVER THE FUTURE

TRIP.... OVER LOVE, AND YOU CAN GET UP

FALL.... IN LOVE, AND YOU FALL FOREVER

I DO HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT, JUST NOT THE ABILITY

LIKE THE MEASLES, LOVE IS MOST DANGEROUS WHEN IT COMES LATER IN LIFE

LIFE IS NOT THE WAY ITS SUPPOSED TO BE, ITS THE WAY IT IS

I MAY NOT BE WHERE I WANT TO BE BUT IM SURE NOT WHERE I WAS

I'm Olivia and I'm a senior at the university of idaho with a couple jobs there.

I'm a camera operator for the Video Production Center. http://www.its2.uidaho.edu/video/

I'm a radio news broadcaster for KUOI. http://kuoi.com/index.html

I'm co-chair for the 2008-2009 Borah Foundtain which focuses on the causes of war and the paths to peace and this year our theme is health.

http://www.martin.uidaho.edu/borah/

And I'm Vice President and Treasurer for Alpha Sigma Lambda the premier national honor society for nontraditional adult student. http://www.alphasigmalambda.org/

Before this life I worked 8 years at a hospital in Boise doing various positions the last of which was an Occupational Rehabilitation Assissitant. Seems like ages ago.

After this the plan is I'm going to graduate school and my Husband is coming with me.

My husband is Waleed and he's currently serving in the egyptian army as a military doctor. He has soldier status so he could get out in a year instead of having to serve three years as an officer. He's stationed in the Sinai desert currently as the doctor for the security groups that patrol the boarder and desert.

Don't say your a nothing! Everyone has value.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

I'm just kidding guys, but all I do seem to know is cooking, cleaning, and homeschooling. Well, throw in some painting, I mind my business and you pretty much know me. :D I wish I had wanted a career many years ago, but didn't see divorced after 22/23 years either. Now, here I sit with hat in hand and don't know which way to turn. Economy being bad isn't gonna help em either. Sad things is.. every application I put in wants to know if i'm getting assistance, which i'm not. What's this.. a woman must be on assistance to even get a job now days? :(

I got this idea from the Monday thread.

I know we have a few new member and some old ones that people may not know much about.

So to get to know everyone I thought it would be a good idea if everyone gave their first names and what they do for a living......

Here goes.

I'm Amanda and I work for an airline.

I'm financially independant, so I've spent alot of time traveling and I do fundraising and grant writing for a non profit organization. Farid wanted to get into the medical field but we are thinking about starting a business instead once this recession is gone.

I'm Karima, self employed as a Disability Management Consultant, right now working nearly full time on two contracts for a Federal Government Agency.

H is wearing out the new carpeting pacing back and forth waiting for his EAD to come... so he can do ANYTHING but sit around watching TV and eating peanuts... (maybe I should have him test chocolate in preparation for job hunting...) In Egypt his family had a big leather processing and manufacturing company in Manchea making purses, belts, sachels, firefighters turnouts, and holsters, etc. for the police and military.... but I don't think he will be doing that here... Not sure what he will end up doing... but my son called tonight and says he will keep him busy at his company if push comes to shove... Alhamdulillah..
