Conditions removed (CSC)

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know that my husband's removal of conditions has been approved. Can't remember the exact dates but I believe we sent in the packet in mid-March, got a letter about 2-3 weeks later extending his status for one year, and then we got the letter today saying he's approved. The date of the decision was June 1 so it took about 2.5 months. We filed with CSC.

Since I forgot to send in his photos, the instructions say we have to make an infopass appt and bring his passport and 3 photos. They will stamp his passport and the card will be mailed to us.

I must say I was surprised that it happened so quickly, I was settling in for an 11-month wait since a lot of people were reporting that CSC was slow on the I-751s.

Meauxna -- thanks again for the guidance and an excellent sample letter/list of stuff to send.

To everyone else still waiting -- may you be pleasantly surprised as we were.

XOXO

WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!!

Congratulations---disaster averted! :D At least we know what happens if you don't include the photos.. talk about a non-starter! (the good kind)

Well well well. That is all good news. Now, take another page from my book and pump the officer for info when you go into the office, to find out about natz procedures & oath ceremony, if applicable to your situation. For us, knowing the oath scheduling system helped us make our plans.

I think something else is funny. With all the obsessing about dates around here, my experience was like yours---it was a struggle to remember when exactly we mailed this sort of stuff in... it just doesn't matter by this point, IMO. :)

Congrats on getting over one more hurdle!

Anthony & Sweetgirl -- thank you for the well wishes.

Meauxna -- Thanks! The funny thing is I remember all the dates for the first (conditional) GC. By the time removal of conditions rolled around, I guess I wasn't as "into" it so I don't remember much. LOL.

My husband has no plans to naturalize so we are done with USCIS for now. Now that deserves at least a nice dinner out.

No ,you have misunderstood. The lady meant that usually when you file the Form I-751 ,in a week or 2 the INS mails the NOA letter which states that the Conditional Card extended one more year.

So,within that year the petitioner supposelly recieves the 10 year Green Card, as in their case the 10 year Card has been received in a 2,5 month after the filing of the I-751 petition.

Sincerely.
