Welcome to the MENA forum. Yes we are a fiesty bunch, but we are also great for support.

I have a pretty significant age difference with my husband. We did have a denial, but we are out of Morocco. If it is only a few years it shouldn't be much of an issue, but I would be prepared for questions on the subject one way or the other. I saw on your siggy that you have made several trips to visit. This is great! Make sure you take evidence of all of these trips. They are looking for proof of a bona fide relationship, and 4 trips there are impressive. I would also gather letters of support on your relationship from both his and your family. I have found these to be very beneficial to prove our relationship, and I feel that if you can provide these kind of things first time around it will aid greatly in your case.

As an FYI, my husband has been here now a little over 2 years. He came on an IR1 visa, and things between us a great. Although a marriage with a large age difference has its challenges it can work out.

'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride'

The age issue can cause hurdles but I noticed you've visited 4 times? That is a huge plus on your side. I had visited my hubby(then fiance) 4 times when he had his interview and I'm very sure that was one reason we were approved on the spot. Copy your entry exit stamps and also plane stubs and pictures from each visit. Documentation is key!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes and encouragement. I will be sure to make copies of all stamps in my passport. Actually, I have spent about 7 months out of my trips from Jan to Nov, in Egypt. We wanted to be together as much as possible.. who doesn't and I wanted to make sure it was the real thing and we fit together. Didn't realize i'd find someone so far from me that when we met we'd be like two peas in a pod.

I know we are for real and there's really nothing that i know in his background to cause any red flags. He's never had a passport, never left Egypt, never had any trouble with the police, his dad is over 60 and he's the only son, so he doesn't have to do the military thing. He just got his military papers last week so he could get his passport.

I am older than him, but we just fit.. i'm silly and he's more of a grouch, if you ask me. I have never in my life met a man such as him. He and my daughter get along fine and she has told me and her grandparents she cares for him more than her dad. We all play this game and she's known him since the day I met him. Interaction between all of us on a daily basis since April, 07.

We are from two different cultures and religions, but none of that has gotten in our way. We simply respect each others lives and choices. If we have a question about the others life we simply ask and explain, but we never push anything on each other.. that was agreed in the beginning. We simply love each other and all else can be worked out as it arises and it all has so far.

Only thing worries us is the age gap and his name being so common.. Mohammed, not his complete name as he says its not common at all, but of coarse, Mohammed is and i'm sure we'll be stuck in AP for months. And I also feel they'll drag their feet in hopes we all give up sooner or later. That is a shame that they work against us and we are from the same country as they and we pay for this whole process. We're only asking them to allow us the same rights as any American.. to be with our loved ones.
