What does a swimsuit cover up shirt look like?

You know those gauzy big shirts that they well near the swimswear that you can put on over your suit... very light weight but long (cover your bottom) and typically have long sleeves... If you can find one that isn't "see through" even better... Try Walmart... or Target they have them every spring when the swim wear comes out... :)

'm Muslim, and wouldn't deny my husband another wife.

Just curious you would be ok with your husband taking another wife? I would let my husband, but, I get a new husband too.

Some men (and it seems to be a trend with Muslim men) want sex every single day and several times a day. I agree with the poster that said she would allow her husband another wife. Sometimes I tell my husband to go get another wife because I can't keep up with him...so getting a second husband, definitely OUT of the question!!!!! And my husband is already 40. I guess I shouldn't be surprised when I look at my own father...after all, I do have an 8 year old brother. I can't imagine some people whose husbands are still in their 20's or 30's!!!!

As for stereotypes...when we got married, one of my brothers in law, who did not attend the wedding (was still back in the country) already knew that I was Muslim and all that. He did ask however, if people born and raised in America knew how to pray and memorize Quran, etc. the same way they do back home. It was almost as if he wondered if we learn differently here. I have also met several Arabs from gulf states, during my undergrad years in university talk about how our imams and "scholars" in the US were not good enough and were not "learned" and "not really scholars". They feel that only people from the middle east were worthy of teaching and preaching.

lol, the 8 year old brother so tells it all.

I could not take another husband, or fiance no other man at all. moody is 22 and I could not have kept up with him when I was 18 let alone now. ;)

maybe its the years of celebacy that make them feel like every single day and several times a day. I D K but if I ever figure it out I will tell ya.

 Apparently someone told my hubby this one too...and I hope he wasn't too disappointed to learn the truth! :innocent:

As for him taking a second wife, he has a laptop that is practically a fifth appendage attached to him at all times...the brand is an Acer, pronounced the same as the Turkish female name "Hacer", and we jokingly refer to "Acer" as his second wife :P

Another one...a LOT of Turkish ppl he meets here automatically assume that he only married me for the visa...

I told my husband if he gets another wife, I get another husband. He said, "But that's haram!" I told him sure it is, but I'm not Muslim so "haram" doesn't apply to me.

Back to the original question...

My SO heard "congrats on the ticket to America" comment quite a lot...

That American women were sluts.

That we don't cook and clean like Moroccan wives do.

That's all I can really remember.

 And people wonder why the Maddona-####### duality in female imagery and phallic-centered notions of masculinity are alive and well... wow.

So I guess that their families make just as many stupid/asinine comments as your families do? I just have to wonder how many of the men take true offense and stand up to their families and friends like you guys do, or do they chuckle at it and blow them off.

Although I must say that as much as I would hate for my spouse to be continuously thought of as a potential terrorist, it stings just as bad or worse to be thought of as an actual #######, who is expendable and will be dropped as soon as my spouse has their GC. But that's just me.
