HELP (interview coming up)

Hello everyone,

I hope someone can help me out. My husband and I were thinking about questions in the interview and about our families. What if they ask about his siblings? Two of them are in the US illegally and I have never met them. What am I to say about this? I know they are there under dubious circumstances, but while I don`t condone their behavior I do not condemn it because i am not in their situation. Anyway, what is the best way to answer such a question? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am very worried this could affect our chances in a negative way.

Thanks!

Hey there,

During my interview, while going through pictures I have mentioned that lady in a pic was my mom, IO asked me if she lived here in US, I sad "No, she just visits US every year" which was true,I also mentioned that my dad however, was still in US.IO didn't ask me for his immigration status or anything. I think if asked whether or not you have met them you should tell them the truth, I don't think they will ask you about someone elses immigration status.Trouble is all in your head, Interview is about you two. If not asked don't bring it up. And generally Interviews are surprisingly pleasant.

Good luck

Hi everyone,

thank you all for your responses. I agree with you absolutely, I don't want to lie, I just wanted to see what others had said in the past. I will be honest but will also not bring it up. Interview is Tuesday so I will keep you posted.

just don't lie about it but don't mention it either. As long as your douments are authentic and complete and you have proof of a non going marriage, then you will be okay. Smile and pray... both go a long way. good luck! God bless!

Don't lie - Always tell the truth. Their immigrations status will NOT affect you or your spouse in anyway EXCEPT if you lie.

Good Luck on the interview !!

Hello all and thank you!

Our worries were unfounded. I was not even called in for the interview. The ¨interview¨ was more like a few questions and there was no specific question about illegal immigrant status relatives. =)

The only question that came close was when my husband was asked who was our co-sponsor, and since it was his uncle he was asked if he had other relatives. And he said yes, his other two uncles. That was it.

So thanks all. I will make a new post about this second and succesful interview.
