I've aproblem when I submitted my I 129F for my spouse. I submitted my application along with NOA of I130. Since i was not sure whether we need to pay or not i decided to send in a check for $455 thinking they are not going to cash my check if they don't need the money.

But vermont service center cashed my check FOR MY K-3 VISA< NOW I AM CONCERNED WHETHER THEY HAVE MY APPLICATION AS k-1 STATUS OR k-3.

I tried to call customer service but they said they do not have any of that information.

I am so worried now....did it screw my whole application..

did any body went through a situation like this

pls help

I would venture to say that they have not treated your 129f as a k1, since you included the 130 noa..thats what lets them know that you are submitting as a k3.

give it time and hopefully you should receive the noa1 for the 129f and it will say..."you asked that we waive the filing fee.." or something to that effect. this means they realize its a k3 petition.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
