Hi,

Just curious if this is normal, I filed both my EAD/AOS back at the end of december 2005 - NOA's for both dated dec 30th 2006.

Anyway nothing has happened with my EAD since feb - just after i had my biometrics and i phones them twice but still nothing, but that doesnt bother me i am just getting trained up for any prospective jobs when i finally can work.

Anyway today i recieved a update on my AOS

On June 6, 2006, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to an office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER for processing. Our office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office.

Is this normal i never heard of other cases being transferred but maybe its just cause people dont mention it and if it isnt normal is it a good thing or a bad thing :P

Just curious

Nick

PS. just double checking i notice several posts regarding K1 - I129F's transferred to Calif but no AOS's

I'm sure someone else will answer this more clearly, but I do believe it means that they will be able to approve or deny your case without an interview.

There are quite a few AOS cases that have been transferred to CSC for "faster processing" (normally with no interview involved). There is a thread here with some timelines: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=7&t=387

We are from NYC as well and had the same experience, hopefully will have some news in the near future.
