Hi My Le,

Thanks for your reply and for your answer too. Likewise, feel free to ask me any questions too (lol...I'm not an expert, but I can try to answer as best as I can from what I know and find out).

I filed at the VSC too, so it looks like we've both got a long wait to go for the 10yr Green Card and for the Baby...lol...Though I have to admit, waiting for a Baby sure is more fun and more rewarding than waiting for a Green Card!

Glad to know too, that there is someone else here on VJ that's "on the same boat as I am", in terms of waiting for the pregnancy and the I-751 approval at the same time! Wow, what a great

co-incidence we both have here, indeed!

As well, since you're filed at the VSC, feel free to add your name and I-751 information to the following VJ "VSC I-751 Status List", as that's helpful here on VJ too: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...&start=1120

Hmm...in your case, my guess is that you'll probably have the Baby first, be it that a pregnancy is only 9 months long, and the current processing times for I-751s at the VSC is 11 months. So by the time you get your 10yr green card, your information will more likely than not be "updated with a baby" then. On the bright side, that will give you plenty of time to collect more evidence pregnancy and baby-wise, in case you are ever asked to present such in an interview and/or an RFE later on...

By the way, if you don't mind me asking, another question: "When is your wife due and how do you and you and your family feel about the pregnancy?". Feel free to PM me too, if you and/or your wife would like to also talk about pregnancy issues/concerns.

Good luck with the rest of your immigration and pregnancy journeys too!

Ant (Still waiting at the VSC, Still waiting for Baby...)

I filed my I-751 to VSC. Thank you for asking. I have no problems answering any questions. If you have any more, please feel free to keep asking.

Sorry for missing the due date question. Here's my answer: she's due at the end of July, 2009. About how we feel about it, to be short, I would say we enjoy it enormously, though that doesn't describe a whole lot.

Will put my name on the list.

....

Thanks.

Then I just called the USCIS. I was told that although I'm not required to, I can send in additional evidence or whatever I like to what they call "update" my file, and don't forget to include my NOA receipt number when sending in. In addition, I have to write an "explanation letter" to explain to them about the new submission to enclose with it, then everything will be OK. I didn't ask them how they want me to explain, but I guess that's not a big deal, and I think it just sounds like a minor improvisation, all I'll need to do is literally telling them what happened after my package was sent out, and now what I want...

Have a wonderful holiday season, enjoy far more greater your pregnancy and take a good care of it, and best of luck in regard to your 10-year card journey!

Hi MyLe (and Everyone),

Thanks again for the reply and thanks too for your answer. Wow, what another co-incidence, as likewise I'm due at the end of July 2009 too (July 25th to be exact). When at the end of July is your wife due? And yes, like you, in short, I enjoy it enormously, especially more so that I've had difficulties before and have been waiting so long for this. I hope that it will work out this time around for a healthy and happy Baby. I wish the same to you and your wife too for a happy and healthy Baby next year in July. Oh wouldn't it be interesting to have 2 I-751 VSC VJ babies born in July at the same time!..lol....

As well, if you don't mind me asking, which part of the USA are you in now, and which country did the non-USC spouse come from (as it does not indicate such on your VJ profile). As you can see from my VJ profile, I'm in New York State (lol..hence I'm filing at the VSC), and I (the non-USC spouse) was from Canada.

Thanks too for calling the USCIS and updating here on VJ in regards to what they told you about the additional evidence. It's good to know that they do accept additonal evidence at any time to update one's file, even though they don't require such. It shouldn't be too hard for you to write an "explaination letter", as basically there would probably just say that you and your wife are expecting a baby due in July and enclosed is the following evidence to prove of such. I'm sure if you had no problems writing a cover letter for your applications before, you'd have no problems writing an additional explaination letter now (maybe use the same format, but change the wording?).

Good luck to you and your wife if you do send in the additional evidence, and yes, if you want to, feel free to update about that here too.

Based on the additional information you provided in your post, now I'm sort of having second thoughts on this, and I'm still thinking as to whether or not I should send in any additional information for my pending I-751 about our Baby.

-The advantage I see there is that the file will be "updated" with Baby information, so they will get a better prespective on our situation, and perhaps have less of a problem in approving us (hey what better evidence to have then proof of a Baby?).

-As well, if they know when the Baby is due, and by some chance I am called for an interview (even though I did send in 100+ pages of evidence, I still could be randomly called for one due to quality control purposes), they might be less likely to schedule it right before the Baby's due date since they know of such (lol...Believe me, I do not want to go into labour at the USCIS office! And even if they did call for an interview near the due date, I would definitely have to reschedule). Hmmm..would they dare to schedule an interview date close to the due date, even if I notify them of such before?

-On the other hand, the USCIS can be incompentent at times, and if I send it any additional evidence, as I said before, "that confuses the USCIS more when additional evidence is submitted but not specifically asked for while the case is pending." Therefore, instead of helping there, would it cause more harm than good, in having the possibility of two different files with evidences sent at different times?

-Meanwhile, when the time comes for when I apply for US Citizenship (earliest at August 2009), then yes, I will submit any updated Baby evidence and information there, as the Baby will be born by then (and I'll definitely have the Baby's birth certificate then too). So while I'm waiting to apply for that, at the same time I'll still be collecting additional Baby evidence, which will definitely help with the N-400 application and perhaps help with my pending I-751 too if asked for more information in an interview and/or a RFE.

-So yes, keep on collecting the additional Baby evidence! And even for non-immigration purposes, it will definitely to collect such Baby evidence, as it will be quite interesting for everyone to see such organized memories too! Lol...if this doesn't get me organizing my Baby information, I don't know what else will...yup, got to hand it to immigration to help with my paperwork organization skills over the all the years of the immigration process!

Happy Holidays MyLe (and Everyone)! Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy and good luck with the rest of your I-751 journey too!
