 KKKKKKKKKKKKKKK you freaking crack my butt up!!!

I know Kat has been through hell and back but you just can't lump everybody into one bunch of grapes..sour ones that is girl. We all have to put our big girl pants on and if we mess up it's our fault but some of the gals on here are truely happy and have been for a long time. I wish you some happiness in your life Kat and I hope you have had some kind of break from the madness.

 Right, forgot about that 5 year plan.

You forgot about me b1tch! My husband worships the quicksand I walk on. :P

that's what he tells you  --- we all KNOW his true intentions mwahahahaha :jest:

Kat, honestly I really believe it's the dudes you pick not the country they come from. Some dudes are real fun and exciting to f@ck around with but they're not the marrying kind. Seems you've hooked up with lots of those.

How close are you to the 5 year plan? Mine can apply any day now, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. I guess we shall see if they leave us. Only time will tell.

And for Len... Thanks.

Kat, some day you are going to have to face the fact that you are responsible for your own choices. The rest of us were able to see long before he got here what kind of a man he was. You are the one that keeps picking them. You can't put that on all of the men from the MENA, and there are plenty here that can prove your theory wrong.

I do hope, however, that you try staying single for a long time. You are no where near healed enough to think about marriage again. And if you do will you please make a big long list of all of the traits these past SO's have had, and make sure...100% sure that they don't possess ANY of them.

Well...we've been married nearly 4 yrs, he's been here 2.5 of those, has had his 10yr for over a year so I think he can apply for naturalization in like 1.5 yrs? IDK. When do 5 yr plans start anyways? When we marry? When they get here? When they get their GC? I wanna know how much time I got left. :clock::P

Cruel b!tch. <_<

Actually you can apply for the naturalization after they have been in the US a few months short of 3 years. So this cuts down the time they are forced to stay with us dramatically. It's a shame for my husband that we don't have the $700.00 to apply yet. I am hanging on to that man as long as I can, even though he doesn't love me. :P

No. They can apply for citizenship a few months prior to being approved as a LPR. Del has been here since 8/05, but won't be eligible for natz until 2011.

Ok now I'm sorta confused. I thought they could apply a few months shy of having their GC for 3 yrs...correct?

That's the way I understood it... 90 days before the 3 year anniversary of the date on their GC... I know there are some other things that apply in certain situations, but that's the general rule in most situations. At least for those of us who did K-1.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Venusfire, you are correct. It is 90 days before the 3-year anniversary that their LPR (conditional residency, too) was approved. This would have to be based on marriage to a USC - if it is based on just LPR time than it is 5 years. :star: Hence, the 5-year plan.

Yeah, that is what I thought too. But we have been married 5 years as of next month, so it still qualifies as the 5 year plan for him. :P So when he leaves me, upon receiving his citizenship, I guess I will go wallow in self pity and warn everyone that their marriages are shams.

I've concluded mine's not even going to tell me if/when his visa's approved and run on over here all on his own, thus no need for any years much less five years. I guess if I just expect the worst I won't be disappointed when the train wreck happens. And, ya know, I never actually get a visual on a train wreck at all until I read things like Kat continues to write, over and over and over.
