Awwww /big hugs and congratulations you will have that visa in your hand soon :)

I am sorry she gave you such a hard time. I hope they are as speedy in turning the paperwork around for you as you are being in getting it back to them. I am sure you are right about the lengthy questioning being because she was training someone.

aww, kirsten. just a little bump in the road. not to worry! get everything together ASAP, pay the fees, and get them what they want. this will just be a hiccup when you think back.

be sure to let us know when you get the good news! will be soon im sure. : D

i think jamie had that woman. she was training and i too thought that might be the reason for a lack of niceness. i also thought maybe she was born with out a heart? meanie. maybe shes really nice when shes not performing immigration interviews? maybe shes the life of the party?

can you get 2 done? I am thinking they will want an original signature rather than a photocopy. I think they only accept copies at the interview as they look at the originals and keep the copies.

Kirsten, so sorry about your interview experience. But you'll get your documents today and you'll be on your way to Charlotte soon. Disappointing but it could have been worse, as others have said... being so mean she could have put you in AP! Maybe putting it into this prospective makes the disappointment somewhat less. Also bear in mind that while you docs might be legally tight for the UK purposes and under the UK law, that may not be the case with US. :( At least you won’t have a hassle of trying to get these papers at AOS stage. I imagine it may be more difficult to get them once you are already over in US. So overall, it’s couple of days delay and more money but maybe peace of mind somewhere down the line. (F)

As for your papers, you can ask your solicitor to copy the original or print out two copies before the original is signed and then he/she and you sign both documents. Good luck.

Also good luck tomorrow to all of you having the interview. May the red haired CO have a day off tomorrow and you all sail through.

I'm waiting for the Embassy to acknowledge the receipt of my Packet 3 (Royal Mail said it was delivered by 9am on the 21st). Does anybody know how long does it take them to just log it into the system?

Well, the embassy took 4 whole weeks to acknowledge receipt of my case from NVC and then I only found out by calling DOS. It took another week to get packet 3.

Thanks again to everyone for your kind messages, I know I should be grateful that I am not stuck in AP but this has proved to be such a demoralising and very expensive process, its just got a bit much today, what with moving house last week, changing job, the neighbours house burning down in the middle of the night, no sleep, and major PMT, I sure I would have been a bit more positive otherwise ;)

I got the sworn affadavit statement thingy drawn up this afternoon, it was a strange process and I must say he has written some very personal things in there :o I hope its what she wants? I asked him very kindly for two original copies, one to send, and one to keep for my records, as I thought that she would insist on seeing the original and therefore I would not get it back at this stage. \the courier will collect tomorrow and the embassy will receive it back on Monday. So fingers crossed, all being well, we should receive our visas by the end of next week?? (Please!!!!!!)

We returned our packet 3 on the 11th (12 days ago). I just called the DOS and they said Pat is approved for an interview but they have not set a date yet. 2 days ago when I called, they couldn't tell me anything except that her packet 3 did arrive.

Just another data point.. your mileage may vary.
