Here ya go Mr/Mrs. A link to make you feel like you're lining up at the embassy.

It should come up with the street view on the corner of the embassy. Move the N around the circle in the top left corner to pan the view.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source...386792452830157

Check out the long line the day that pic was taken...around the corner. The line is headed toward the boxy thing out front (Security room). Then you go inside the iron fence and follow the sidewalk around the corner to the entrance facing Brook St. , near the end of the line of people in this photo. On our day, the line end was about where the person in bright red is.

Have fun getting in your virtual line to attend the interview with Jamie.

aww. how nice is that? thank you. it does make me feel better. i have spent 5 years trying to share experiences with jamie being on different continents. im pretty good at it. i can track the progress of his train when hes traveling, i have my weather software set to show me what the weather is in macclesfield, i keep my clocks on uk time (BST <3)....and things like this help me. even if i am only imagining, it does help me feel part of the experience. so thanks. i appreciate it.

but, HOLY COW. that line is 11 times longer than i expected!

jamie informed me today that he does not want to go early to the interview (his is at 10 which seems comparatively late). <sigh>. i still have a few hours of lobbying left, but i suppose in the end it doesnt matter.

Timeline

Thanks for adding us, we're very nervous about the interview and keep going over everything to make sure its all in order. The past four years of our relationship & marriage is all stuffed into a large black notebook and weighs 12lbs lmao - think we over did it alittle trying to make sure we have everything including proof of ongoing marriage. But that also includes copies of the I-130, I-864, DS-230 I & II, supporting documents for each pack, photos, phone bills, emails, msn conversation logs for the past 4 years, cards & letters sent via snail mail, NOA 1 & 2, copies of each page both of his passports (old & new), and mine, marriage license, copies of both of our birth certs, and so on and so forth.

Kinda feel sorry for him having to lug that thing around lol. This journey has been hell from the start, and its now finally near an end, and instead of relief I'm mortified and nervous and going insane (or even more insane) I just want him home so we can finally start the physical work on our life together rather than just talking and planning.

Good luck to everyone & have a Blessed day!

is that queue like that at 7 am in the morning or just at a specific time???? i'm gonna get there well early then.

lol thats so funny because i have my clocks set to detroit time, i set my home page to detroit so i can see what's going on there. its now five days or thereabouts to our interview on friday. I'm not as nervous as I was, just frigging grateful its coming to an end one way or the other. I dont know if any of you know the show "Bridezilla's" but seriously for the past 4 months Ive been a "Visazilla" , an absolutely horrible person; irrational, arrogant, rude, volatile. who knew the visa process was a chamber that once you stepped in you faced a jekyll and hyde transformation. I truly hope this is it for us, and on to AOS.

congrats to the graduate(s) of last week, all the best..............

:D The line I had was nowhere near as long. In fact, it was no longer than the length of the thingy set up to mark the line. There were, at most, maybe fifteen people ahead of me...so I got through pretty quickly. I was there about 8:15ish in time for my interview at 9:00.

Eeeeeee, good luck again, Lisabette and Jamie!

but, HOLY COW. that line is 11 times longer than i expected!

There are lot of people going there for various visas like tourist, student, etc. A bunch seemed to just be walk-ins because they were all filling out papers at the check-in desk, just inside the little foyer at the entrance. I was thinking Holy Cr@p, is there more paperwork to fill out?? But then I realized they were in a different category when we showed the appt letter to the desk and got the little number stickers. The line wasn't near that long on our day at 8:20 for a 9am appt.

It does sort of give you some perspective on how busy the Embassy is. We think the dozen or so of us are the only people they have to deal with and they should send us an appointment the day the case arrives from the NVC. But it's not easy to be patient.

Visazilla made me laugh. I can relate. And I love that Bridezilla show. Too funny how spoiled and selfish some of those girls are.

re bridezilla's v Visazilla

yup, they put all that effort money in and the wedding still looks tacky. it amazes me how women in these shows transform from accomplished women, some very successful to mere babies when they put on a wedding gown. I know lots of women have fantasies about the wedding day, i dont. so i dont quite understand that. However, have any of you just found you went through a period of watching wedding tv excessively....i know I did, i just so wanted that one little ceremony.

I m a bit appalled by my zilla'ish behaviour, getting papers sent, going over and over checklists......lol. its funny when you are so focussed on something how you act. notice in these shows the husband to be is like a bit part actor in the show of "me, myself and I"; it felt like though i was focussing on us, it was just me. I often said things like " You dont understand what I'm going through" and "But this is about ME! not you" lmao...... seriously.......

Thank fully he loves me..............with my bad self lol

<holds up hand>

i am slightly <downplays> guilty of this as well. i found myself having to edit posts because i kept saying 'i' in stead of 'we'. i think i am just a lot more obsessive than he is. he can go with the flow. i have to examine the flow, figure out why it's flowing, where it's flowing and the best way to enter the flow (with a life jacket, of course). so i guess i had to go through this my own way and jamie in his own way. i have learned a lot about myself and the person i want to be (my better self) and i have learned about compromise because it is a 'we' process, we had to come to agreement about certain things. my behavior also is deeply rooted in a desperation to BE WITH JAMIE. what can i say?

i am proud of how we have weathered the storm thus far. i am more than certain of my love for him and his for me.
