Good luck to niniel71 for tomorrow's interview!

I just got the call from London!! We are approved! I wish I could have been there with him but for money reasons it just wasnt possible. I know he was soo nervous. I have been awake for hours waiting for news and was literally shaking when I answered the phone. hehe

Thanks to all who wished us luck!

Melissa and Dave

Yay!!!

And miss g...sorry to hear you are having a delay...I read that about the malls yesterday. It seems that a mall owner (structure not the stores) is filing bankruptcy and is losing/closing down many of their buildings across the US. Those stores will have to relocate. It's hard on the companies moving their locations and hard on the cities potentially losing them. We've lost several large major stores her in my CA city and it really is a pain.

I'm sure he will feel better about it soon..it takes you aback a bit to see it happening but at the same time there is a lot of new stuff springing up I've noticed. :)

how are we gonna cope with the usa life style.. they serve you flavoured tea with NOOO MILK and look at you like youre crazy when you ask??

im gonna have tea too!

:P Well, I got Knight hooked on tea with milk and sugar so I think that won't be an issue...otherwise, I'm just gonna stock loads of tea and take it with me! I'm also gonna demand a kettle because (gasp!) they make their tea in the microwave. That's just plain wrong! But, I find that some berry teas can be quite nice, and maybe some Roobois...

Yeh it's so weird how Americans dont have kettles! Especially in hotels when you wake up & go to put the kettle on & it's like...where is the kettle? You get a coffee machine...weird!

My fiance bought one for me last year & now he drinks tea loads! with milk & a bit of sugar..he loves it. :star:

Hey missg..really sorry to hear you have to stay here longer. Do you know how long? a few weeks, months? This recession is so bad, it's affecting everyone. I hope you get things sorted soon. :star:

Magpie...I saw your cat on the AP thread...he's really cute!!!

Surely many people have kettles in the USA...the microwave is the "easy" version of tea...doesn't taste anything like the kettle one...but then that's what people do in America, try to find the easiest way out

As for us, yes we have a kettle here in the US, in fact 3 kettles...we Pakistanis can't live without tea...and that too the kettle-cooked one ONLY...and if a Pakistani is caught serving microwaveable tea...shame shame  ...its not polite at all.

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)
