well just finished his tax return. 1 ( ie this year) should be enough and w 2s , right???

i think there is a difference between 'enough evidence' and 'more than enough, but a comfortable level of evidence' which probably varies from couple to couple.

i am a worrier and i try to think of every angle. so for me, my comfort level is way too much (see my interview checklist for an pretty extensive list). but, again, for me, thats what's best. ill just make scrap paper out of all of the extra documents.

but really, i think, though ive not been through the full process, it seems like the london US embassy is fairly straight-forward for the documentation that will satisfy the CO. if you are in good financial shape, you may not need a lot of extra documentation. if not, do your best to present your financial situation in the best light possible.

Yep, I can't wait for our date either, it's been a long wait. We actually hired our lawyer to file for us 7th March 2008 & it took them 2 months to send our petition off so they delayed us even more. I defo won't be using them for the AOS stage, We'll do it ourselves.

We used an attorney as well..and we also will not be using one for AOS stage. We would not have used them for K-1 either if we had found VJ earlier. This stuff is totally doable ourselves! Not to mention our attorney put us back...in terms of getting an RFE and presenting the wrong information to us in many cases. I remember that I sent a lot of corrections to the attorney we used when we were doing our K-1...corrections on updated forms such as the I-134 and I-129F...they had the old forms! And they were more than embarrassed receiving corrections from their clients. Our advice: NEVER use an attorney...unless of course you have a totally complicated case.

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

i agree, but from the posts, I can see that that is ok. we have co sponsor and all his financial docs so i think it should be ok. i just need to get them here. i was thinking buying usps 1 - 3 day service but its like 60 quid. i have had things sent in the ordinary post take up to ten days to get there. so i 'm not taking any chances you know.

hope everyone is having a stress free weekend, if you are, just ...............breaaaaaaathe.

@_@ I'm trying to. I haven't been writing on the board much at the moment because I'm trying not to go insane from AP. It doesn't help knowing that Good Friday and the upcoming Monday are holidays, so they weren't working on my case -- unless they shipped my stuff to the US already. I don't like waitiiing...

I hope you guys are less stressed than I am .

You know you can have Knight call the State Department in the US and query about the status of the visa, don't you? I don't have the number on the tip of my tongue, but it and the prompts to get to the 'right people' are given in numerous threads.

Unfortunately, I've been told that unless it's been six weeks, they can't tell you anything...and pestering them only results in further delays. We've decided to refrain from asking about when I'll be getting my visa in the hope that it'll be faster that way.

miss you, ms. magpie. im waiting patiently for good news from you.

as for me, i am finding waiting for the interview rather boring. im sure there are things that i could/should be doing in preparation for the future (jamie's arrival, getting married, AOS, etc x infinity.) i wish i was with jamie so i could help him tie things up before he leaves. i have a feeling it will all come down on him in the last couple of days and he will be stresed by it all. but he will survive and he will get here and that will be wonderful.

im giving myself a break this weekend because i am sick. bleck. sore throat and sinus-y headache. called in sick to work yesterday and today. i rarely call in sick. plus, im stuck in bed and its lovely outside. i did go and check on my garden and my bulbs and things are pushing up through the soil. my garden will be full of white tulips (and maybe orange? i cant remember) when jamie comes. : )

2477480012_6150b938e8.jpg

anyways, im bored.

BUT today is the 11th of april and that means 9 days until jamie's interview.
