Why did Marie620 get denied? I just noticed on Laura's list that there was a denial. I can't see any posts from Marie around her interview date as to why that happened.

Is it unusual to get a denial at London Embassy?

If you search for her name you'll see several of her posts about it. Something to do with her husbands alcohol consumption at the medical.

Well thank God they didn't check thoroughly on mine!!!!icon_eek.gif

That is a beautiful animal  . I had a black lab when I was a small boy, and they are the best dogs ever. I'm getting one out here as soon as I'm sorted.

Thanks, I think so too. Her name is Leigh and she is so loving and protective (read a little anxious). I drive her a little nuts cause I move around the house so much. She follows me from room to room and then curls up in the corner, of course I may only be in a room for 5 to 10 mins before I move again, so she has found a couple of areas she can see into several rooms at the same time.

But mostly she loves when we sit on the couch, she curls up next to us and puts her head in our laps. Oh now I'm homesick for her and John.

Not sure whether I should put this on the checklist thread or here but I suppose it doesn't really matter.

Here's what I'm going to take to the interview to support the I-134. I'm concerned (paranoid) about my fiance being self employed, so I want to take lots of evidence:

I-134 original signed & notarized + copy

2008 1040 Tax returns (full 68 pages) originals + copy

2008 W2's & 1099's + copy

Self Employment letter signed by my fiance & notarized + copy

2 Employment letters originals signed & notarized + copy

Retirement account statement showing $20k+ available cash + copy

12 months bank statements + copies

Will we be ok with this? or is it a bit over the top?

i took SO much stuff - deeds to the house even! the more the merrier, i think you'll have plenty though. they didn't really want to see any of it in the end so all those trees wasted...

might be over the top, but who cares? if it helps you feel more prepared, then go for it. not becoming a basketcase is well worth it.

and all those wasted trees? i will have scrap paper for the forseeable future.

question: do you just have bank statements (like what you get in the mail) or do you have letters from a bank employee that state your account details? i think the embassy would prefer to see the latter.

question: other poster up there with the greyhound.. how come you havent seen your dog? do they put them in quarantine?

and magpie, i think when you get through all this, at the very LEAST, you will get a dog. which is so nice. : )

Hi there ....

I just noticed that you got everything notarised ... the one that Steve filled in didn't have a section for that. We have a letter from his work and also his bank - but neither of them notarised .... Do we NEED to get any of it notarised?? OMG I hope not ... he just sent it all off to me in the mail today ....

We also only have the paperwork for the taxes he did last year - he's in the middle of doing this year's and they won't be ready in time .... should I get a transcript for the year before too? Aaaarrrrggghhhhh!! I thought I had all this sussed out already ....

moira,

no notarization is needed. you are fine.

as for the tax information, you would still have time, if you even need them. tax transcripts or tax returns do not need to be submitted in original form, therefore, if you , steve, (the USC) can get them before your interview date you can scan and email or fax them to your UKC (moira) to have for the interview. i havent read through your timeline, so im not sure how much time you have. and i dont know what you are providing or your situation, so you may or may not want to have them for prior years.

edit: checked your timeline. you do have time to get past years tanscripts. its supereasy and fast!

Thanks for your quick reply Magpie (((HUGS)))

Ok ... he posted off the following to me today. The taxes that he filed last year, a letter from his place of work for the last 32 years, a letter from his bank and his last four pay slips ... would that be enough? It says on the information that you only need to provide tax returns if you are self employed and he's not ... I thought putting in the one year's as an added "extra" would be enough with all the other evidence of income ...

omg. you called me magpie, which is a HUGE compliment!! <3

32 years? really? that should probably be fine! (32 years?) what you have listed sounds pretty good, esp if he has a secure job like that. if you dont want to freak out, request the transcripts (they are free, and he can send them for free) (which is why i did it, preempting freaking out as per the usual with me). i think if you are not concerned about his income level meeting the 125% (ie he is beyond it), you should be jsut fine with what you have, if not, why not hedge your bets?

hope that helps. : )

edit: im all about the fast response, as i know how desperate it can be to be waiting to hear a response!

Oh dear ... I saw everyone calling you Magpie and I just did the same - I hope that's ok??

Steve has worked at the same place for the last 32 years :) - he turns 52 this month. We're a little bit older - I was 48 at the end of last month.

He earns way more than the 125%, so I'm not worried about that. I just don't want to get to the interview and not have what I need to be approved. As I said, he's just sent me the information for the taxes he filed for last year, so do you have any idea what years transcripts he should request? 2006 and 2007 or 2005 and 2006? Geez .. I'd better go and find the number for him to call - he's been running about all week ... I try to make it as easy as possible for him ....

Thanks much ... appreciated ...

No notarizations. None. Nada.

Last tax return as of date I-134 signed. Until April 15, the last tax return is 2007.

One return is enough.

That much money, you'll breeze through. Really.
