The 2009 United Kingdom Interview Thread!

Well, I had my medical yesterday with the nice blonde doctor. All went well; I just have to get my doctor to fax them something, but it doesn't appear to be a big deal.

We're now waiting on the interview date. I sent back all my stuff in the middle of February, but we've heard nothing yet. It's a bit worrying that people who sent their forms back around the same time as myself (or even later) already have an interview scheduled, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when they schedule them, so we'll just have to wait. I did include a nice cover letter with mine requesting an interview in April if at all possible, but I have no idea if that'll make any difference.

It's harder now that the medical is over though, and we don't have a date to set our sights on.

I guess if you don't like waiting, you shouldn't get engaged to an American!

have you called the DOS to make sure that you are eligible for an interview? they can tell you if your 'packet 3' was received and if it was complete. if so, then you are eligible for an interview.

Yeah, my fiancée has been on the phone to the DoS several times a week. They say they've received all my forms and are waiting on an interview being scheduled.

Tonight she tried emailing the embassy herself without the special code, and received the standard "your message has been deleted" reply, but from what others have said, that doesn't stop them replying. Next step is calling them on the premium number if we haven't heard anything by the end of next week.

I forgot to say congrats to those who got approvals, their NOA2 and their interview dates...

And thrrp. The police officer who's been helping me out said that he's not authorised to put my parents' names on a letter. This kinda sucks but it looks like there's nothing more I can do for my birth certificate.

@_@ I can't sleep at all this week, and I still have a few days to go. I keep waking up to the slightest sounds...
