Hi All

Could we please be added to the list of approvees. Had my interview today and was approved.:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

As I said 8 months ago,,,,, the prize at the end is worth waiting for and she is.

The hardest bit is the waiting for so long for others to make decisions for you...

The best advise for the Embassy is, don't panic or worry and take a book to read. It is very painless.

We received both our packet 4s in the mail today (one with the original March 30 date and one with the new April 28 date). We are praying REALLY REALLY HARD that we don't have to be put on AP after the interview. I was reading through VJ again and I found two people in similar situations who were NOT put on AP (because they did not have common names the members' both assumed) my fiance does not have a common name either, so hopefully we are not put on AP either afterward.

OK now I'm getting confused with this I-134. My fiance is self employed so he is supplying his tax returns from 2006 & 2007. He's still waiting for his 2008 tax returns & his accountant is being really slow. Will I be ok at the interview with just the 2006 & 7 returns if they don't turn up in time?

I've read some posts saying that the I-134 needs to be notarised & then others say it doesn't. Which is it?

I'm now worried that I was in such a hurry to get our packet 3 sent of that we might not have everything back. I'm forgetting that it takes a week for him to post me everything!

I'm beginning to panic... I need to chill.

MonkeyJuice,

The updated I-134 form (available on the USCIS website) DOES NOT NEED TO BE NOTARIZED.

If you interview after April 15, you will need your fiance's 2008 tax returns and W-2s. April 15 is the deadline to file tax returns for the year 2008 in the USA. Before this date, you do not need to show your 2008 tax returns because you have until April 15 to file. Chances are that you will interview after April 15, so you should show 2008 tax returns+ W-2s.

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

Ooooh ok then, thanks Marm. Thanks for clearing that up for me. We need to get his accountant to hurry up.

I didn't mention on the checklist that I had a leaving date or marriage date so we might get a later interview anyway. BUT can we request with DOS for a mid May interview before we get packet 4? Will they be able to arrange that for us?
