My hubby had to reschedule. On the day of the snow storm my husband was not able to make it to the medical as there was no transportation. He was rescheduled for Feb 13. I called the embassy and they gave me a code to email to request to reschedule.(still have not heard any thing yet) I’m on pins and needles wondering if they got my emails. My husband also wrote them a formal letter and sent it in the post as it states on packet to request to have the date rescheduled. =0( It was horrible having to call that line to get ripped off only to be given a code. They dont actually change the date over the phone. Also when you call the line and you press 3 to go to the immigrant department they keep you on the phone and it rings at the non immigrant department, they tell you to hang up and call back in 5min when the immigrant lines are availabele! I had to call 3 times and eventually gave up as we never got any help. THEY MUGGED US GOOD. The reason we called the emabssy and not DOS is because we did not think that Dos could reschedule the interview date. Should I call DOS?

On the day of the medical he got up bright and early and set out in the snow to try to make it to Knights Bridge. He waited for the buses but none ever arrived, he then walked to the nearest train station only to find out the tube services were canceled. So we had some set backs. Hopefully they will get my emails and my husband’s letter soon.

Last year I had to reschedule my interview using the email code. I got a reply back within 3 days by email confirming that they had changed the date. I then got a letter through the post confirming it a week later.

So it can definitely be done by email - might take a bit longer this week as I'm sure they have hundreds of people to reschedule after the snow.

Good luck

OK. First take a deep breath.

I thought you had your interview today?

No they don't change the date over the phone, you have to email them. I got a reply soon when I mailed them about changing the date - don't worry. I'm sure they are very busy now being a few days behind due to the snow storm. DOS won't help you with a date. The code you ahve is gold dust and maybe you should share it! ;)

I will share it as soon as I get my reply LOL, they did state in a generic email that if one bombards them with follow up emails they have the right to delete them all. LOL

Lol.

But wasn't you interview today?

Don't fret -- a lot of businesses and such have had tighter staff because of the weather. They will get back to you, but it's likely that they're a bit more mad at the moment because of people probably not being able to get to work.

Hugs!

Magpie.

We were up for the 5th but unfortunately the snow and no transportation in London ruined my hubbys medical date. That was changed to Feb 13th. We sent them an email a few days ago in hopes to have it reschedualed so we are still in the waiting game.

In regards to the pics requiered. Do we we need a total of 3 pics, 1 for the medical and 2 for the embassy interview, or 1 for the medical and 1 for the interview?

I'm pretty sure you can have your interview and then the medical - they just wait for the results.

Good luck with thedate, let us know as soon as you get an email back.

Yes, 3 pictures. The one for the medical can be UK style. The 2 for the Embassy have to be USA style.
