Due to circumstances beyond my control...no wait scratch that

I am beginning my clinical rotations for psychiatry by August 1st so I will not be able to update the interview list or keep track of approvals/changes/etc.... so unfortunately I will no longer be "in charge" of the Interview List as of Saturday August 1st, 2009.

It would be great if someone could come along and take over the responsibility...mind you its not written in stone that you HAVE to be punctual about it, but just someone who acts as a reference for the interview list would be nice...

OR

Anyone can make updates or add changes or interview dates by doing the following:

Just follow the format on the interview list that is already set: By clicking "reply" on the post with the most recently updated interview list, you can delete the words: [qoute] from the beginning of the post and [/qoute] from the end of the post to make it a new post. And then follow the template to either:

Add interview dates: Just type in the interview date in the format shown and high-light the entire entry and click on the blue color in the color options menu tab.

Add the shiny red approval star: On the bottom of the interview list is the "Legend" which tells you that the red star=APPROVED. Just copy the entire link for the red star and paste it next to the name of the interviewee who has recently been approved.

Everything else is pretty much self explanatory in terms of typing in new information/deleting information/changing colors.

I hope this helps anyone who is interested in taking over the "Interview List" or just as a reference to anyone who would like to enter/delete/add changes or dates.

Feel free to decide what to do about this issue, of course!

ETA: I will be updating the list until July 31st. August 1st is when I won't be available.

AWWW marm you are soo sweet the way you keep us all informed and together in a list..... i wasnt in the list because i dont come on that often but i do cum online and read the updates all at a time and it has been so sweet of you the way you always put those stars and updates in there....i hope you get the visa very soooooooooon im praying for all of you out there waiting...........just keep holding on..:)))))

Congratulations emma88 on being approved. I will now add you to the approved list for June. As far as wait times, your fiance just submitted the pending docs on Friday July 24th, so you should hear this week about when he is going to receive his passport with the visa in hand. Current wait times after submitting documents is about 3-4 working days. Check this thread for people's experiences: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=197086.

And thank you so much for the kind words :luv:

I hope your fiance gets his visa in hand ASAP! Keep me posted in this thread

Thanks for the good luck wishes marm.

Starting to look up the finer details of my journey on Friday. e.g. when will the chosen tube station open ? where is the goulds pharmacy etc. I know others have posted this information but I think its part of the "preperation" to look this info up anyways. ;)

On the question of gould's, according to google maps. the pharmacy on North Audley St is listed as opening times of 8:30 am.

My interview is for that time. So have I got to look for some alternative safe place to store my phone and keys ? I have tried to call the pharmacy directly but its constantly engaged. Has anyone got any personal experience of using them ?

Good luck for Friday!

We used Gould's for Pat's car remote door lock, (electronics). Everything else we left in our hotel.. mobile phones, laptops, etc. Along with the car door opener, we forgot 2 USB pen drives in her purse. They found those in x-Ray. Fortunately they were empty and I wasn't about to make the trip back to Gould's to store them, so they were binned. Our appt was for 9:30 so I can't vouch for their opening time.

Hey congrats on the interview and medical!

We've been busy getting Pat settled in and planning our wedding trip so haven't been on VJ much recently. Congrats to ALL the approvals that have happened in our absence.

Grats app-girl and thank you Bob & Patricia.

I did manage to get through to the pharmacy this morning. And apparently they DO open at 7:30 "sometimes a little earlier" as the nice asian man said on the phone. So I think I should have the electronic devices thing covered.

I'm starting to get butterflies about this. I have to admitt I took out all of my paperwork last night and laid it all out, read it all and then put it away. I'm sure when I get home from work this afternoon that I will do the same again. For weeks my brain has been saying my interview is 8:30. Re-reading it last night the interview letter said 9:00 :o

I guess my internal brain process said " thats the time but minus another 30 mins for good measure". Then again I have planned from the start to be at the embassy for 7:30 ....

I will be taking my little netbook with me to londinium and depending on how the interview goes I will keep everyone posted. Hotels are too expensive so in light of me probably not getting (if any) sleep thursday evening. I will just head down there to catch an early tube.

Anyone interviewing in August? Had my medical last week and waiting on that packet 4. Back in 2007, it came like 4 days after I posted packet 3 back to them...looks like they are taking their jolly good time now.

So we wait in the rain from around 7:20am for our 9am appointment, some discussion going on amongst other people waiting was that they don't open the doors till 8:30am. Great! the only thing I never checked was the embassy opening times..lol Anyway, that turned out to be rubbish, as we were let in and given our stickers/number at 7:43am. Waited, got called to a window, gave the info, were sent to another window to pay the fee then back to the original window to be told to be handed a bit of paper and told to go back and sit and wait for our number to be called. We sit there (hubby and I) ,I'm fretting and he's chilled out telling me not to worry, all will be fine. Then he asks why my piece of paper is a different colour than everyone elses....I momentarily majorly panic! Before realising my paper is pink and most the ones I see are blue, thankfully I'd read here about the pink and blue papers/slips. We got called back to the window and was asked a few basic questions by a lady: Have I ever been arrested; How did we meet; When did we meet; When did friendship become a relationship; How big is Sheboygan?! lol And then smiled and said congratulations.

Big thanks to everyone who has answered my questions patiently and plainly, and those who answered the questions for others so I never had to ask them. Also, thanks for all the good lucks and wishes too.

Been dying to say this....Please put a red star next to my name, thanks.

Michelle
