Thank you! The nerves are really starting to kick in now :(

I have a quick question regarding the US Embassy here in London though. My appointment is at 9am, but I've seen that scary Streetview image of a queue snaking its way around the building and I'd really like to avoid it if possible. Everything from the Embassy says not to arrive more than 30 minutes before your interview tim, but how much attention should I pay to that? I'm thinking about showing up closer to 7.30 than 8.30... any thoughts?

Even though technically you are not supposed to, it is best that you DO show up at 7:30 AM for your 9 AM interview. You will be nearer to the front in line, and according to your # assigned, the one of the first to be serviced inside. My fiance had an 8:30 AM interview, but showed up at 7:30 and was the second person inside the embassy that day and was out and done by 8:30. So it is a good idea to show up earlier.
