Congrats to all recent approvals

My passport arrived back today with the VISA inside along with my x-ray and a very large envelope with a seal on it, fancy

I'm due to fly out next Tuesday to Atlanta, Georgia....USA here I come!

Thanks Ellie, hopefully it all goes well! I also have a question, when it comes to the interview, does the visa automatically get sent to the address that packet 3 and 4 are sent to, or can you request for it to be sent to a different address?? Do you fill out the envelope that the visa gets sent in? Thanks in advance x

You can have it sent to any address but you have to be at the address with proof of your identity to sign for the package. They accept bank card as proof of ID.

Augh, thanks everyone for your replies, I just had no idea!! This whole visa process is just so nerve racking, I wake up every morning with butterflies!! I just wish the interview was over and done with, I think its a fear of the unknown! You can read hundreds of different experiences, but I don't think Ill feel fully at ease until it is over!! It really is great knowing that all of you VJ'ers are going through the same experience and we're all helping each other through it. Thanks everyone! x

Phoned DOS today about 10 days after sending in packet 3...and.....drumroll please.......interview date assigned for July 9th at 9:30. HAPPY DAYS. Thanks for everyone's advice along the way

I got it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow - I'm blown away, absolutely over the moon. Flying out on 26th June. Only 11 days away!!!!!!!!!!

I was really expecting approval with pending docs but we had no problems at all.

Interview lasted about 45 seconds. Only two questions asked:

Where did you meet?

When did fiance move to US

That's it, your application is all in order. Congratulations. You can expect your visa in 3 - 5 days.

My jaw dropped. I stared at him in disbelief for several seconds and then said That's it? I'm approved? and that was that.

I am totally shellshocked. 18 months waiting and over in 45 seconds. I can't believe it!!!!

Guys - thanks for being such a fountain of wisdom and understanding.

Just thought I would let you know that the visa has arrived with my package. Dates look fine, I was interviewed on the 12th of June and the visa is dated from 16th.

The only reason I would send it back is because my picture is beyond hideous!!! Talk about having a melon head!!!

So looks like the 16th of July is the big day for DEFINITE!! Woooooooo hoooooooo!!!

finally i'll be able to send off my passport tomorrow morning with the courier all the docs are now here and we have lift off.................weeeeeeeeee. now lets see how long it is before i get the pretty visa in my hand huh. will keep you all posted.xx
