Good luck! I stayed up most of the night with nerves...I fell asleep for 2 hours and then when he called to say he was approved, he woke me up and I was up for hours after that! then I crashed haha and slept a good part of the day.

Where are you flying into and have you found any reasonably priced flights? I actually thought that one way tickets would be cheaper ... duh ... I've been pricing return flights which are half the price!

Flying into Dulles, and actually I have found one-way flights with one stop are cheaper than direct returns (which, yes, are cheaper than direct one-way). The stopover would be in Dublin (the immigration might be there - although possibly not for Aer Lingus flights to Dulles!) so I am trying to decide.....

Congrats on the medical Ellie and David!

Magpie - you'll have to let me know if Thorpe Park is any good - I might be going there myself Monday!

Er who is cheaper? I have tried the one way thing and to detroit its aalllll expensivo. tell me what you used please?

Hiya

Try lastminute.com

Search for a return flight - and change the return date several times to find the cheapest price. Return date obviously doesn't matter, cause you won't be using it! One-way flights are almost double the price ....

Wow, being away from VJ for few days sets you behind in going-ons for a while.

Congrats to all people who were approved recently and Moira, great to hear you got your visa.

Good luck PB&JAM on your interview tomorrow.

I'm slowly starting to settle in after a surprise wedding on Monday (they've managed to find some loop hole so we managed to get married despite of some disapprovals). I'm still slightly bewildered, jet-lagged so I don't feel like like being here for a very long time let alone married :innocent:. I'm sure I'll get over it all soon enough. Also, it's been raining here ever since I came so if it wasn't for the higher temperatures, I might as well be in England. :)

Good luck to everybody getting ready to take the final leap over the big pond.

That's one of the reasons I'm going to be by Pat's side for the interview. Her sanity, and mine. ;)

Also it's my last time to see that side of the family until we go back sometime next year, or they travel here next summer for our church blessing 2nd wedding. (Our real wedding will be just us and a captain on a sailboat off Florida this summer)

Hey congrats! I'm wondering how many single people Manchester will have after us on VJ steal them all away.
